It’s Closing Time
My favorite Idol blogger, Gray Charles has decided to close up shop. Gray is keeping the site up but won’t be updating. In a few days the comments section will be closed. While I’m saddened by the news, I completely understand. As he puts it, “I want my life back”. But he also adds, “This has been an amazing journey and I wouldn’t change it for the world…”
As far as I’m concerned, Gray published the best Taylor Hicks fansite out there. Much more than a fansite, Gray focused on Taylor the musician rather than Taylor the Idol personality. That emphasis made the site substantial and unique. Gray Charles also featured other artists–an eclectic mix of music from many terrific artists too numerous to list here. Not to mention the references to interesting books and links to great articles. The result was a cool and unusual blend of Pop culture topics. The commentary and comments section were never dull. I’m really going to miss it.
Gray is also a friend to this site. He has linked here often and dispensed some great advice. And he’s shared a tidbit or two… His help has been invaluable. Good luck Gray, and thanks for everything.
