Idol Headlines for 12/15/11 – The Evening Edition
Details on Monday night’s (Dec 19) game between the Steelers and 49’s at Candlestick Park
– Former “American Idol” finalists will swarm Candlestick’s sound system. Thia Megia is singing in pregame activities; life-long 49ers fan Stefano Langone is handling the National Anthem and James Durbin will perform at halftime on a stage at midfield (which should make David Akers’ 60-yard field-goal warmup difficult).

Have you heard the news? Not only is our very own judge Nicole Scherzinger performing on the results show tonight, but so is Florence + the Machine. And, of course, the results show will also whittle down our Top 4 semi-finalists to our Top 3 heading into next week’s finale. Hope you voted last night!

Adam Lambert Announces New Single, Album Release Date, Collaborators
The official press release announcing Adam’s new single, “Better Than I Know Myself” has been released. You get a free copy of the single if you pre-order the album, Trespassing. Also, there’s a quote from Adam and a list of collaborators that includes Nikka Costa and Bruno Mars.
Trespassing will be released on March 20. “Better Than I Know Myself” will be available for download December 20.

As far as blog-specific nominations go? Glee was nominated in the Best Television Series Comedy or Musical category, but was shut out completely for acting noms. Last year Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch WON in their respective categories–Best Actor/Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

X Factor Update – Justin Bieber and Stevie Wonder to Perform
Zap2it is reporting that Justin Bieber and Stevie Wonder have taped performances for next week’s X Factor finale. I’ve also heard that Justin taped something with Top 6 contestant, Drew–who is a big fan of the Biebs, but I don’t have confirmation for that bit of info.
Also, I’m hearing that Florence + the Machine taped a performance this week.
