Here are the results of last night’s poll. As you can see, Melanie Amaro edged out Josh Krajcik for the lead.

The order of the list is spot on as far as the performances are concerned. Melanie was the best last night, followed by Josh–although I realize that’s arguable. After a wide gap, Chris comes next. And then Marcus–mostly the fault of poor song choices and bad arrangements–is dead last.
It’s very difficult to imagine a world where Marcus Canty advances ONCE AGAIN to make the X Factor final. So, I’m going to make a not-so-bold statement to say that America has eliminated Marcus Canty, finally.
Now, here’s my power list as far as who has the best shot of winning X Factor as of TODAY.

Pundits have been predicting a Josh win, and I think it’s possible. He’s a solid singer and appeals to the demographic–adult women–who seem to vote on these shows.
Yeah…I have Chris Rene in second place because I think he’s got a huge fanbase. His lack of vocal power is holding him back and may scuttle his chances. If Chris could sing, he’d run away with this thing.
I have Melanie 3rd, because I still think it’s tough for gals to do well in these types of contests. I wouldn’t completely rule out her coming in 2nd, but I don’t think she’ll win.
