“American Idol’s” Joshua Ledet Gets Hug from Michelle Obama: “She Told Me I Was the Reason She Watched” – American Idol contestant Joshua Ledet got a lot of praise from the judges and celebrity mentors while he was on the show, but he just met a celebrity fan who trumps them all: first lady Michelle Obama. The encounter happened Wednesday, when Joshua was appearing live on Live! with Kelly, and Mrs. Obama just happened to be waiting backstage to tape a future episode. “She asked to see me ’cause she heard I was on the show, and then I was freaking out when she walked in,” a still-shaken Joshua told ABC News Radio minutes after the meeting. “She just embraced me and just gave me lots of hugs and told me that I was the reason she watched American Idol.” – Red more at ABC News Radio

Adam Lambert on Q – Adam Lambert is back in the spotlight once again with his second record Trespassing. This time around, he’s drawing back the glittery curtain of his rock star persona, exposing a more personal, emotional, and even socially-conscious side. – Listen to the Interview on Q radio

Adam Lambert’s Rocking Ritz Carlton Exit – The 30-year-old star has been quite the jet setter lately to talk about his second studio album “Trespassing” and it looks like he will be taking another international trip as he told his Twitter followers, “UK! Adam Lambert: I went on American Idol because I couldn’t get signed – What lessons has the industry taught you so far? Nothing’s logical – it’s all down to chance. It’s a game. There are moments when I take everything very seriously, then others when I laugh at it. You have to be able to toggle between both perspectives. On the one hand, it’s not brain surgery; on the other I want to sing about emotionally resonant subject matter. – Read more at Metro.co.uk

Kelly Clarkson Gets Tough on Duets – After both her Duets partners, Jordan Meredith and Jason Farol, ended up in the bottom last week, Clarkson is determined to show improvement when the competition returns Thursday (8 p.m. ET) to ABC. “I’m going to be really blunt with you,” Clarkson says in a clip of the upcoming episode. “I think everybody else has way more experience. And it shows because when they’re out on stage they’re into it and they’re not nervous.” As part of her strategy, she’s switching up the song style for Jordan, who performed Clarkson’s hit “Stronger” in the premiere. – Read more at People

Good Lambert interviews here – like the Q Radio interviewer – believe they had a talk about two years ago.

And the Virgin Radio one – so much fun – don’t think I’ve ever seen Adam so relaxed.  Guy’s never boring – that’s a real talent – lol.

Wow, Incipit, I’ve never seen that picture before! I’ve always heard there was a crazy big crowd for that show but couldn’t picture what that many people would really look like.

I guess now I can. Go Davids! :D

Someone here earlier this week or last week mentioned there needs to be a part 2 of that show staged in 2014. That’s an idea that I can definitely get behind. Where’s my passport? haha

Those are great photos. I’m both appreciative of and amused by the one where he’s wearing the white shirt with the collar strategically tugged down.

Another great interview. Adam talks Idol stigma and responding to Idol being the root of all evil in today’s music, making the leap from the show to the business.

Adam Lambert says things would’ve been much tougher without American Idol

Do you think you could’ve done what you’ve done without American Idol?

“I think the machine exists behind the show and it’s a well-oiled machine. Simon Fuller created a great brand. He did a good job trying to create an audience for music. For a young contestant who doesn’t have much
experience, they can use the machine to their advantage. But then there are those of us who’re on the show and know what we want. I think when they met me and I got to the end of the show, they were excited. They thought – ‘OK this guy has ideas. He has a vision.’ I think they liked that. I think it’s case by case.

How great for Josh.  He is really a nice guy. He was the best technical singer in the competition and deserved to be in the Final 2. I would have loved to see a Phillip/Josh match up.
