UPDATE: Gleek Out Brasil have begun revealing singing credits for Episode 5. I’ll be filling in the information below!

UPDATE: YES! Billy Joel himself just confirmed the Billy Joel tribute for Episode 6! Via BillyJoel.com

Hang on to your hats, kids, I have a MAJOR Glee spoiler bomb for you! Song spoilers for Episode 5 and 6! Unfortunately, I don’t have information on who sings what, but we can have fun speculating before the rest is spoiled.

Episode 5 is titled “The End of Twerk” and airs on November 14. Here’s what we know about the episode so far, according to spoilers. A casting call went out for a tattoo artist. At least one NYC Gleekster is getting some ink. Also, a new bully is being cast to terrorize the kids at McKinley.

The End of Twerk Episose 5×05 Song Spoilers (Singers added!)

“You are Woman, I am Man” from Funny Girl – Rachel & Paolo
“Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke – Artie, Bree, Kitty, Jake & Will – (WOW That seems inappropriate)
“If I Were A Boy” by Beyonce – Unique
“Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus – Marley
“On Our Way” by the Royal Concept Yes, it’s the song I linked previously - Tina, Artie, Blaine, Sam, Marley, Kitty, Unique, Ryder & Jake

Episode 6, airing November 21, looks to be a Billy Joel tribute! The title is “Movin Out” Spoilers report that current high school seniors, Blaine and Sam, will be making their post-graduation plans, with Blaine and Kurt reuniting in NYC.

“Movin’ Out” – Episode 6 – 5×06 Song Spoilers

“Movin’ Out” sung by Sam and Blaine
“Piano Man” – sung by Blaine
“My Life” – sung by Jake
“Honesty” – sung by Artie
“An Innocent Man” – sung by Ryder
“Just The Way You Are” – sung by Rachel, Kurt, Santana, Sam, and Blaine
You May Be Right, sung by Artie, Will, Jake, Kitty & Ryder

Let’s speculate!

  • Damien Roberts

Something tells me that Rachel is singing “If I Were a Boy” and Santana will sing “Wrecking Ball”.

  • Damien Roberts

Also betting that “Blurred Lines” is a group number.

  • Trisha26

In what universe is it appropriate for anyone to sing that Robin Thicke rape song? I’d love to hear someone suggest singing it and everyone else yell “NO!” it’s disgusting. Right. Like that will ever happen.

  • http://twitter.com/ElizabethThe Elizabeth Rosalyn

Hell to the no to Blurred Lines! Ugh.

  • Kristina Stadnick

    Blaine must do Piano man.

  • Jan McGregor

Matt Morrison and Neil Patrick Harris already covered Piano Man in Season 1 but I suppose it wouldn’t be the first time they repeated a song

  • Jen

Goodbye good NY. Welcome Blaine show again. Glad I’m not watching after 3.

  • Bric fic

Blainers will be singing that atrocious song! Blarren said so himself >.<

  • dems121

can you tell us who is singing “If I were a boy” and who sings “wrecking ball” ? please

  • Rachel Monroe

If Rachel is singing anything it is “You are Woman, I am Man” from Funny Girl

  • Rachel Monroe

    Sadly you are probably right.

  • Rachel Monroe

She said twice she didn’t know who was singing what.

  • alex

    no he didn’t.

  • alex

if you got that from these spoilers your reading comprehension sucks.

  • DD

    When did he say that?

  • supersonic

Apparently that Billy Joel episode is supposed to be all about Blam (Blaine and Sam). So, yeah, avoid that episode like the plague. Shoot. I don’t even think they are going to be any viewers around to watch.

  • supersonic

“Blurred Lines” and “Wrecking Ball”? How are they even doing those songs when they haven’t even reached the summer yet in canon time? “Wrecking Ball” just came out.

  • Q_3

“On Our Way” might be an original song, but I think it is the new single by The Royal Concept, a Swedish alt rock band. The lyrics sound perfect for GLEE and the storyline….

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWyhUoxAbYI

    Chorus:
We are young, we are one
Let us shine for what it’s worth
    To your place, place, place
We’re on our way, way, way
We’re on our way, way, way
    We’re on our way somehow
    Hold me close, close, close
    We’re losing time, time, time
    We’re losing time, time, time
    We’re falling to the ground

  • Ronnie D

One thing that has really turned me off to Glee is the music selection. Funny Girl? Ugh, how boring. The show tunes put me to sleep. Billy Joel? YUCK lol. What a lame choice. No wonder Glee is tanking.

  • Axxxel

Didn’t Lady Gaga launched her song
Born This Way in Glee… in the episode with the same title ? (Season 2)…

  • Axxxel

Maybe they will have the girls singing the song, while Blaine and Sam and Puck junior are twerking LOL…

  • Axxxel

I dare to bet that the song will be sung by mostly the girls and maybe the guys will be naked ? Oh well, wishful thinking…

  • DD

You may not like their choices, but these are classics that kids today are not introduced to. Glee opened a whole new world for me with my younger students, introducing them to Broadway and older music.

  • jujubee22

Billy Joel is one of the greatest pop artists of all time..he can sell out MSG in minutes for multiple nights…

  • Ronnie D

That may be, I just never cared for his music.

  • Ronnie D

It is great introducing kids to the classics, but I think there are better choices than Billy Joel.

  • Q_3

Just my guess — most Glee fans probably like show tunes.

  • Gabi

Shrieking over a Billy Joel tribute yes PLEASE. Also if Darren *does* sing Piano Man (which is totally possible) I will laugh forever given he used to not know any of the lyrics. But yes, yes, good.

  • Daniel Lavrec

Yes, Blaine in New York! Please leave Sam behind. Blaine singing Piano Man would be perfect. Marley will be singing Wrecking Ball. Obviously Rachel will sing the Funny Girl song. Maybe Santana will sing Blurred Lines since Naya Rivera loves Robin Thicke so much and even modeled her own music video after the Blurred Lines one. I hate that song, would rather they didn’t feature it at all. Here’s hoping Movin Out has no Lima in it (New York for Blaine, somewhere else for Sam) and we can see Blaine’s NYADA audition!
Does anyone else think Kurt’s band will still be around at this point? I wonder if that Adam Lambert rewrite messed that up.

  • DD

Really? An artist that actually writes and performs his own music? Who do you suggest?

  • Mel432

I know guest stars are not on consecutive weeks, so Adam may not be on shows five and/or six. However, Ryan Murphy tweeted that Adam and Chris will be singing a duet. None of the songs listed sound like something the two would sing.

Murphy also tweeted that Adam is really cool and has great ideas, so Adam may have had some input into his role.

  • Lucy

Edit: Yes, this is a duet between Nicky Arnstein and Fanny Brice in “Funny Girl”, so Rachel and her co-star will likely sing this.

  • Mel432

Is graduation usually mid-season? I’d like to see Blaine in NYC. He just doesn’t seem to fit with the high school crowd since Kurt, Rachel and others have left. I agree with so many others that the NY cast is so much more interesting than the McKinley cast. Maybe they can have a spinoff — they could have so many good story lines there.

  • Lucy

Actually, Ryan just confirmed that Adam and Chris Colfer would be singing together — he didn’t say they would be doing a duet.

  • washpd

You mean the one that MJ linked in her post?

  • http://www.randrambles.com Rand

Yes, they opened it and closed it again. Or at least that’s what the ratings say.

  • Dani

Glee is starting to become American Idol. Beatles, Billy Joel? IMHO, these tribute/’only sing songs from one artist’ episodes are because extremely boring.

  • jujubee22

I don’t like the tribute episodes either…but they have been doing them pretty much since day 1 (or at least since season 2)

  • jujubee22

awww.that hurts my heart. Billy is a grammy award winning singer/songwriter/musician who has has a 30 plus year career. platinum selling, top of the billboard charts artist.. Some of the songs he has written are destined to become standards (if they aren’t already)..he is incredibly influential as an artist…they made a broadway musical out of his songs…his live shows are AMAZING..I can’t think of too many better choices for a tribute episode than Billy Joel

  • Dani

I know but they used to be less ‘Idol’. They did Rocky Horror. I just don’t like it when they have to sing only from one musician/band. I thought one of the premises of the glee club is to sing whatever you wanted and liked.

  • Ronnie D

    Nicki Minaj

  • Q_3

Yes. MJ posted a question and I gave my opinion on it. I posted the lyrics to show why I thought it was probably the a cover of the new The Royal Concept single vs. an original composition since MJ posed both as possibilities.

  • Q_3

There was a Tweet/Instagram video about “If I Were a Boy” that indicates it could be a cast performance….

    Kevin McHale @druidDUDE 25 Sep
    we’re so good RT @MsAmberPRiley: “If I were a boy?” By the glee cast @druiddude becbecbobec @anew92 @jacobartist ???????????? http://Instagram.com/p/etQkUcM_4f/

  • Doge

    bye

  • Doge

grow the fu ck up already. It’s just a song, get over the meaning already, it’s not affecting you at all. god

  • Kelly

Yes, he did. Here is the link to the interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGKQRJAMDfI But, I hope Blaine doesn’t sing it. I was so depressed when I saw this interview. So depressed.

  • http://twitter.com/ElizabethThe Elizabeth Rosalyn

And how would you know that? Many lives are affected by the subject matter this song promotes. I just hope Glee makes a point of remarking on how the message BL gives is NEVER okay.

  • DD

But unless it is a student run club, the director has the right of assignment. I direct a high school group. I give them songs that fit a theme. They are allowed to voice opinions, but I get final say.

  • tyanne

    yes

  • Mike

God, please NO!!! Blaine needs to move away somewhere, anywhere other than New York. He and Sam can room together in some other town, preferably as far away as possible from New York.

  • DD

What instruments does Nicki play? And she writes her own music?

  • Ronnie D

A person can’t be influential if they don’t write their own music or play instrument? Oh bother. lol

  • DD

If you listen carefully, he said he would LOVE to do that song. Doesn’t mean he gets to…..

  • DD

My statement was that it’s nice that they choose someone so iconic, that actually writes and performs their own music. And you suggested Nicki. Not anywhere in the same category….

  • Jen

“Blaine and Sam, will be making their post-graduation plans, with Blaine and Kurt reuniting in NYC.”

I know some of you operate under alternate universe laws (like where Darren Criss is an amazing actor) but sometimes I wonder if you put any thought into these.

  • Jen

As much as this is yet unconfirmed sounds exactly like the glee we’ve been getting the last 3 years. So, yeah.Bye. Looking forward to their numbers after most of us have said our final goodbye to the show we once loved with episode 3. I haven’t even watched 1 or 2. Whatever good stuff might have been in NY before is not going to be there anymore with the repeat of making it all about and around Blaine (+ a horrible version of Sam) singing non-stop without any substancial storyline because Darren Criss’ acting sucks.

  • Jen

They make more top 40 hits than ever lately. They actually create storylines around songs. They are lazy like that. They are using summer’s most popular songs and ones just barely a month old when the timeline says last school year is not even over.

  • Kelly

I meant Darren would like to. Sorry. lol

  • Q_3

Here are a couple song spoilers from GOBr

“Wrecking Ball” will be sung by Marley Rose

“If I Were A Boy” will be sung Unique

They are going to post the rest later in the morning.

Also, it does not appear that Adam will be in 5×05.

  • http://www.mjsbigblog.com/ mjsbigblog

I updated the 5×05 song spoilers above a few hours ago.

  • Kelly

Looks like it’s going to be Will/Matthew Morrison.

  • DD

Actually I read its: Artie, Bree, Kitty, Jake, and Will

  • Kelly

Oh, well, I read somewhere else it was going to be just him… Guess not. *shrugs*

  • Axxxel

not complaining here but i am a dinosaurus LOL

  • SV

We now know that Kitty, Artie, Jake, Bree and Will all sing Blurred Lines. Seems inappropriate for Will to sing that song with his students. The whole song is inappropriate for Glee actually, but Will being in it is really inappropriate. What is Glee thinking!

  • sdfas

    True! Im sick of Blaine
