X Factor UK – Top 9 – Results Recap

Aiden Grimshaw is eliminated from X Factor (Public vote decided!)

Oh boy. Katie Waissel escapes elimination AGAIN after her fourth trip to the bottom 2. And the irony is that the vote went to deadlock and it was the PUBLIC vote that saved her!

Aiden is gone after one trip to the bottom 2. Of course, Simon decided to save Katie once again, because he LURVES the drama she brings to the show.

Granted, Katie’s singout was better tonight, and Aiden’s performances were inconsistent, but I found him interesting. I’m a little shocked Paije wasn’t in the bottom after that underwhelming performance of “Crocodile Rock”.

And OMG WAGNER ESCAPES THE BOTTOM 2 ONCE AGAIN!!! He’s the thing that WILL NOT DIE.

I saw on twitter that FOX execs were in the X Factor audience tonight per @jonconnell (via @MamaSoxNation)

I would love to be a fly on the wall for that post-show conversation!

X Factor Results Top 9 – Who is going home?

JLS and Westlife and Take That perform tonight. OOOOH. It’s boyband heaven tonight!

Videos and Live Blog after the JUMP…

Here come the X Factor judges. Voting lines are still open!

X Factor finalists sing “Can’t Stop Moving”. Cher and Wagner rap. Eep.

JLS perform first. The were X Factor runner ups in 2008. (I had to google that!) This boyband stuff does nothing for me. Jeebus, this is a stupid song.

Now for Last night’s RECAP. Paije says backstage about his song “Crocodile Rock”: “Maybe it wasn’t the greatest song.”

Next, are the Louis Walsh-managed Irish boyband, Westlife. These guys are better singers than JLS. Westlife climbed to #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000. I don’t even remember that. One Direction needs to pay attention. Westlife can show them how NOT to suck.

5 minutes to vote!

Simon thinks One Direction was best (eyes roll) Plus he liked Matt and Rebecca. Cheryl thinks her girls did their best. Rebecca, One Direction and Mary were Louis’ favorites.

Take That, featuring Robbie Williams take the stage for the first time in 15 years.

The results are in!

Aiden Grimshaw and Katy Waissel are in the Bottom two and must sing for their lives.

Aiden sings “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Crowded House.  He’s a little shaky but whatever he does is bound to be better than Katie. They better save him.

Katie sings Christina Aguilera’s “Save Me From Myself” and dang it, she’s not half bad.  She may squeak through again this week!

Final Results:

Simon will send home:  Aiden Grimshaw
Cheryl will send home: Aiden Grimshaw
Dannii will send home: Katie Waissel
Louis will send home: Katie Waissel

DEADLOCK!

Aiden is eliminated by public vote!

Aiden looks so disappointed. This is such bullshit.

SAFE:

  • Cher Lloyd
  • Matt
  • Rebecca Ferguson
  • One Direction
  • Wagner (LMAO)
  • Mary Byrne
  • Paije Richardson
