It’s week 3 of the auditions
How to watch X Factor UK from outside the UK?
You can watch X Factor live, online. ITV streams the show through the ITV Player. However, ITV blocks viewers from outside of the UK. To get around that, you need to use VPN connection. If Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is your preferred browser, install Hola extension and set them to UK server. Then open the ITV Player, make a free account and pick the right channel. The player will ask you for a ZIP code. Find an active UK ZIP code HERE. Make sure you have the cookies enabled. You can also try to find a working ITV stream on MyiPlayer.com, TVPC.com or FilmON.com.
The X Factor airs tonight at 8:00pm BST (9:00pm CEST, 3:00pm EDT, 12:00pm PDT) on ITV 1 (75min).
We start with a montage of overconfident contestants.
Amrick Channa – nicknamed ‘Diva’, 44 year old insurance processor from Kent. He declares herself the next big superstar. Uh huh. He wants to shake up the music industry. He is singing Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam’. I guess we are not done with joke auditioners yet. Simon calls him 90’s old school DJ. Simon says NO, the other three say YES.

Benji Matthews – 17 year old college student from Cornwall. Simon says he couldn’t find a hotel room there recently. He started singing after Whitney’s death. He sings ‘Feeling Good’, but Simon stops him, because he doesn’t like the song. He then sings Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’. He is OK, but untrained. Simon likes his ‘raw’ performance. All judges are very encouraging. Benji nervously giggles. 4 YESes.

She sings The Shirelles’ ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’. She is pretty good. Louis says she is very honest. Sharon loves the heart in her voice. Nicole calls her performance ‘transparent’. John Fitzsimons – 66 year old retired lecturer from Exeter. He started playing music in bands from the age of 19, so he has plenty of experience. He sings David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’. Louis says he was like watching a David Bowie tribute act.

Russell Jones – 25 year old nursing home singer from Wales. His father was also a nursing home singer. He wants to have his own Christmas show like Michael Buble. He sings ‘I Wanna Be Like You’ from The Jungle Book. He is not tragically bad, but I don’t see much future for him in the competition. Louis loved it, Sharon also. Also, everyone loved it. 4 YESes.

More auditions in Scotland and Alesha Dixon as a guest judge.
Gregor Coleman – 24 year old busker from Glasgow. He has a lot of tattoos, including a huge butterfly on his neck. He auditions with Vance Joy’s ‘Riptide’, but the judges stop him. His voice is nothing special. The judges say he picked up a lot of bad habits busking. Simon says he doesn’t know who he is as an artist. Simon then votes NO, but then asks him to come back later with another song. He returns and sings Rihanna’s ‘Stay’. He really isn’t that good. But Simon ‘absolutely loved’ his second song. The judges fawn over him like he is the second coming. 4 YESes.
