‘Shame I wasn’t here last year’: Simon Cowell slams Louis Walsh for losing ‘great’ X Factor talent Paul Akister at Judges’ Houses
Simon Cowell ordered Louis Walsh to apologise to an X Factor contestant on Saturday night’s show after he failed to recognise his talent.

The show boss, who returned to the series after a three year hiatus this year, slammed loyal judge Louis for turning away 25-year-old Paul Akister at the Judges’ Houses stage last year.

Returning in front of the revitalised panel including Mel B and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini this year, hopeful Paul sang his own version of a John Lennon song that left the judges stunned.

‘Holy hotness yes!’: X Factor’s Mel B gets hot under the collar for the boys as US Air Fighter Charles Hernandez sings Enrique Iglesias in Spanish
New judge Mel B was showing more of her sexy side than her Scary Spice side on Saturday’s X Factor show, when she took a shine to one of the male vocalists.

A member of the US Air Force and adept at singing in Spanish, Charlie Martinez made the female judges go weak at the knees, but it was former Spice Girl Mel who leaped onto her stilettos to give him a hug.

And Charlie wasn’t the only one catching Mel B’s eye as she flaunted her feisty side with the male contestants, dropping hints that she was vying for the boys category at Judges’ Houses.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is reduced to tears by X Factor singer Monica Michael’s touching tribute to younger sister
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was reminded of her older sister Gilian Tweedy when touched by an original song called ‘Pretty Little Sister’ on Saturday night’s X Factor show.

Youth Monica Michael, 24, had penned an emotional tribute to her 16-year-old sibling, which referenced her own regrets as a rebellious youth.

Cheryl, who returns for this year’s X Factor, was reminded of a time when her own sister would write poems to her, telling Monica that it really touched her.

An X Factor contest jokingly threatened to ‘kill’ Simon Cowell during her audition.

Former Miss Great Britain contestant Maria Ellinas, 26, made the threat when her pronunciation of the word, ‘Street’, affected her chances in the reality singing contest.

A preview clip shows Maria perform Randy Crawford’s Street Life for judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh.

Holy mackerel! Fishmonger Lola Saunders, 20, trades her day job for plaice on X Factor as she gives judges chills with emotional audition
By trade, 20-year-old Lola Saunders is a fishmonger, but her day job was a far cry from a sensational X Factor audition that left judges with goosebumps on Saturday night’s show.

Ditching her overalls in favour of a glamorous little black dress, the brunette made quite an impact on the four-strong panel.

Lola belted out an emotional rendition of Adele’s Make You Feel My Love, leaving the room in silence and Mel B almost in tears for a second time.
