Stream Louis Tomlinson’s Bittersweet Track ‘Miss You’
Louis Tomlinson’s post-One Direction career is moving in the right direction with a string of solo releases including “Just Hold On” (with Steve Aoki), “Back To You” (featuring Bebe Rexha) and now “Miss You.”

The bittersweet new track, which dropped at midnight, was written with longtime 1D collaborator Julian Bunetta and produced by Afterhrs. The Brit went deep on it, inspired by all that lost time partying his nights away instead of chasing the girl. “I wrote this song about a time in my life when I was going out partying every night. In hindsight throughout that time I was pretty numb and just going through the motions,” Tomlinson explains.

“Deep down,” he adds, “it was always in the back of my mind that what I really missed was the girl that I loved. It was important for me to write something really honest.”

Premiere: “Uncrazy” Is A Warm Winter Dance Ballad Dedicated To The Ones That Keep Us Sane
You know when a song makes you feel like you are wrapped inside of a warm blanket? First the instrumental melody lures you in. Then Rebecca Ferguson’s just barely raspy voice enters, echoing similarities to Amy McDonald at her finest. And in that moment you’re pretty sure this song will be on repeat – especially these winter months.

“Uncrazy” is a collaboration between LA based producer AFSHeeN (and his studio partner Josh Cumbee) and London based X Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson.

For both, the meaning is the same. “Uncrazy” is about that person who is there for you no matter what. Below AFSHeeN and Rebecca Ferguson talk about their collaboration and some of their favorite dance tracks.

50 Best Songs of 2017
Cardi B’s money moves, Harry Styles’ classic rock breakout, the record-breaking “Despacito” and more
2017 sucked like no year since 2016. But pop music kept giving us reasons for hope – from Harry Styles’ glam grandeur to Cardi B’s Bronx fire to Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s takeover of middle America. Atlanta trap stars like Migos, Future and 21 Savage slow-rolled out addictive smoked-filled hits. Julia Michaels, Lorde, Tove Styrke and Taylor Swift put their personal stamp on the glistening pop confessional. The pulse of the radio opened a little, via the breezy island beats that powered Drake and Ed Sheeran, or Selena Gomez dubbing in a little Talking Heads on “Bad Liar.” Even rock nostalgia felt more fun than it has in ages, whether it came via Portugal. The Man’s Motown throwback jam, the blurry Nineties-punk recollections of of Charli Bliss and Diet Cig or veterans like U2 and Beck making music that updated their classic moves. Here are our 50 favorites.

1. Harry Styles, “Sign of the Times”
In case anyone out there thought the One Direction star was going to play it safe in his solo move, Harry Styles shut up any doubters with his first solo single. “Sign of the Times” made an instant splash – an eccentric piano ballad stretching to nearly six minutes, aiming for Bowie/Queen levels of glam grandeur, with Styles hitting heavenly high notes as he broods on death and rebirth. “Sign of the Times” just grew in resonance as the year went on. The reckless ambition of the song is only part of what’s brilliant about it – the confidence and empathy in his voice just keep surging as the music builds. Styles was the only rock star all year to aim for such a giant sound, with a giant-hearted song to match. A high-risk move for sure – but only this guy could have imagined “Sign of the Times” and then made it real.

Is Boy Band Baggage Holding Back One Direction Solo Success at the Grammys?
The Recording Academy never recognized One Direction with a Grammy nomination when they were together, which is unfortunate but not shocking. On one hand, 1D produced arguably the most substantial album catalog from a boy band in history (especially if we’re not counting Boyz II Men). But then again, 1D was a boy band created by a reality TV series – hardly the kind of act that historically earns Grammy nominations, much less wins.

But when the boys of the band broke out and began forging individualistic solo careers, it seemed like their Grammy fortunes might change. There was 2016 buzz that Zayn – who went solo before the group’s hiatus – could earn a best new artist nod in 2017, but that was quashed by the Recording Academy, which argued he was far too well-known to be considered a ‘new artist.’ (Fair enough: It’s not like you would have called Paul McCartney a ‘new artist’ in 1970 when he started his post-Beatles career.) Even so, Zayn got no love for his No. 1 album Mind of Mine or his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 song “Pillowtalk” that year.

One Direction Fans React on Twitter to Harry Styles, Niall Horan & Other 1D Solo Grammy Snubs
Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) once proclaimed in famed romance The Notebook?, “It wasn’t over. It still isn’t over!” One Direction fans proclaimed the same in different words on Twitter today (Nov. 28) after none of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn, Louis Tomlinson or Liam Payne were recognized for their solo efforts in the 2018 Grammy Awards nominations.

As a group, One Direction have never been nominated for a Grammy — making the pain of today’s individual snubs all the worse for long-time Directioners.

Harry Styles review: a frenzy of Jagger struts and pure happiness
Forum theatre, Melbourne
Out of the boy-band bubble and more rock star than pop, a Styles show for 2,000 is as intimate as fans are likely to get

Ninety minutes before doors, two-and-a-half hours before the opening act, is still roughly nine hours too late for a Harry Styles concert.

There’s already a snake of punters that begins at the Forum theatre and continues down Hosier Lane, onto Flinders Lane, and eventually onto Russell St, reaching nearly all the way down to Collins St: a stretch of about 250 metres.

The line started forming at 8am, and it’s been slowly growing throughout the suffocating 35C day. Most in the line are young women, and many are wearing white T-shirts emblazoned with the face of the man they’re waiting to see: Harry Styles.

Why IS Alexandra Burke so hated on Strictly? Star branded ‘fake’ by viewers lands in the bottom two after weeks of high scores and being tipped to win (but others say ‘racist voting’ is at play)
Alexandra Burke has won The X Factor, had six top ten singles, enjoyed a successful career performing on stage and has the potential to add the Glitterball Trophy to her list of accolades.
However, after ten weeks consistently topping the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard, the favourite-to-win found herself in the bottom two for the first time this series, alongside comedian Susan Calman.
The 29-year-old star’s romantic rumba with her dance partner, Gorka Marquez, was heavily criticised by the judges, but she still placed second overall after winning the Paso Doble-thon.
It was the damning viewers’ vote that played the crucial role in Alexandra’s fate, and her ‘fake tears’ and emotional reactions to her well-earned scores have left many fans questioning how genuine she is.
And just weeks after Aston Merrigold’s shock exit, it’s prompted viewers yet again to question ‘racist voting’ as the reason Alexandra’s spot in the BBC competition could be at risk.
