Watch One Direction Cover ‘Fresh Prince’ Theme — In Philadelphia, No Less
When in Philly…

One Direction decided to have some fun while on tour in Philadelphia recently: They sang the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme for screaming fans midway through their concert.

Fans, of course, were into it, but the guys only sang the first part, because — as Niall Horan noted — “We didn’t think that through. We needed to rehearse it.”

“I’m going to be president in 2020,” Horan then quips.

Leona Lewis on Branching Out on Her Own With New Album ‘I Am’ and Saying Goodbye to Simon Cowell
Newly signed to Island after parting ways with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music in 2014, the X Factor U.K. alum, 30, breaks down what went into making her fifth album, I Am, out Sept. 11

Saying Bye to Simon
“It was like leaving a relationship. We broke up and I had to stand on my own two feet. The [split] gave me inspiration and some songs are about him. But Simon has been incredible for me and my career, and I’ll always love and respect him.”

Declaring Independence
“I started making I Am without a label. There was no guidance or anyone telling me what to do or when to finish. That’s the best way for me to create: without a million people telling me which direction to go. My goal was to create raw, authentic music — anything that comes after that is just a bonus.”

Saying Hi to Stevie
“I got to meet Stevie Nicks [after leaving Syco], and she gave me the pep talk of my life. She hugged me and started singing my song ‘Bleeding Love.’ She said that the world needed to hear my music.”

He likes a game of tennis

Camden is his favourite place in London at the moment

“I love the eclectic vibe. I can walk down the road in Camden and no one looks – actually, they look once, I’m a guy in a skirt, but they don’t keep looking. I had my first pint. Your beer is warm, it’s much colder in Australia. I’m tying to immerse myself in my heritage.”

The X Factor: Grimmy despairs as the boys fall apart during Six Chair Challenge
“It’s disappointment after disappointment.”
New X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw was left in despair today after the Boys category fell apart during the Six Chair Challenge.

The Radio 1 DJ must have been cursing the public for voting for him to have the Boys after each act struggled to win over the Wembley audience.

In fact, after seven singers Grimmy had only – reluctantly – filled two of his six chairs.

“It’s disappointment after disappointment,” Grimmy’s fellow newbie Rita Ora told one act. “The crowd are getting really frustrated. Not only the crowd – I think we all are.”

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini also attempted to pump up the audience, saying: “I feel like everyone’s getting the life sucked out of them. I’m sorry – it will get better.”

X Factor 2015: How Simon Cowell’s six chair challenge didn’t go to plan
On the face of it, the premise of X Factor’s six chair challenge sounds shockingly simple.

One by one, the acts in the four categories perform and their mentor picks the best six to take through to judges’ houses.

But factor in the other judges who are free to comment and critique, contestants’ nerves and a VERY opinionated live audience and it’s a recipe for trouble… and great telly, of course.

Tonight Wembley Arena was packed as Simon Cowell’s Overs were in the spotlight with just one song – and one seat – between them and judges houses live.

‘Absolutely horrendous’: Simon Cowell in harshest X Factor judging EVER
One poor X Factor contestant left the stage with a battering during the six chair challenge tonight.

Simon Cowell was brutally honest with the acts both in his category… and those not.

It saw him launch into quite the critique of one performer after they sung on stage at Wembley Arena.

Nerves seemed to get the better of the act who was far from a novelty performer and who had been tipped to do well in the competition.

However the ambitious idea has proved to be a logistical nightmare and it apparently requires an extra two presenters.

WATCH: X Factor’s Mason Noise AXED from show after swearing at Simon Cowell
X FACTOR hopefuls seem to be letting the pressure get to them.

Whilst we may have only had one week of X Factor auditions shown on television, the judges have been up and down the country for the past couple months looking for fresh talent.

Nick Grimshaw had the tough challenge of cutting the list of thirteen boys by more than half – which resulted in one hopeful revealing they hadn’t made the cut to their 91,000 Twitter followers.

During the six chair challenge in Wembley, one contestant – Mason Noise – started out well, as the judges quizzed him on why he auditioned for the talent show.

X Factor: Louis gets a shock curtain call
LOUIS Walsh is set to make a sensational return to X Factor – just months after being dumped.

We can reveal the music manager, 63, will stage a shock comeback at the judges’ houses heats next month.

Louis was a judge on X Factor for 11 years before he was axed from the panel earlier this year.

But Simon Cowell is set to bring his pal back to help decide which acts should make it to the live shows.

The move comes after viewing ratings for X Factor fell to their lowest for nine years without Louis in the line-up.

Last week’s launch show was two million down on last year.

A show source said: “A lot of viewers have been saying it’s not the same without Louis making his jokes and wheeling out the clichés.
