X Factor UK Headlines for 06/28/18

New music from Little Mix, Rak-Su and Cher Lloyd.

LA DJ trio Cheat Codes and Little Mix released a new song ‘Only You’ on Friday. The song will be featured on ‘Love Island – The Pool Party’ compilation due to be released on July 6. The song got added to various playlists on Spotify, but I’m not sure whether it’s going to be properly pushed as a single. Cheat Codes are billed as the lead artist on the track.

X Factor champs RAK-SU are releasing a brand new song tomorrow and it’s a collaboration with Banx & Ranx. It’s titled ‘PyroTing’. I’m not sure if this is just a song for the fans or a proper single.

Cher Lloyd recently released a song with Joakim Molitor, titled ‘4U’. It’s been a while since she had any new music out.

Niall Horan is heading out on his “Flicker World Tour” on July 18th, stopping in cities all across the United States and Canada, including Dallas, Nashville, Tulsa, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Charlotte, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and more. And supporting the 24-year-old on the 35-date trek on most of the dates is country starlet, and one of his Flicker collaborators, Maren Morris.

Niall’s “Flicker World Tour” supports his debut full-length solo album, Flicker, which yielded hits including “This Town,” “Slow Hands,” “Too Much To Ask,” and his Maren Morris collaboration “Seeing Blind.” The singer/songwriter has already completed the European leg of his tour, and it looks like fans in North America have a lot to look forward to this summer.

‘I Want To Surprise People’: James Arthur On Changing The Narrative After Coming Back From The Edge
The ‘X Factor’ winner tells HuffPost UK he’s ready to move on from his redemption story.
Two years on from his completely unexpected comeback, James Arthur is still pinching himself that he was given a second chance. But after an incredible story of redemption, which saw him re-sign to Simon Cowell’s record label after previously being dropped in a blaze of bad publicity, he is now ready for the next chapter.

With a new album on the horizon, James is poised to surprise his fans yet again, prompted by the success of his collaboration with dance act Rudimental last year.

While he may be best known for being a balladeer, the forthcoming release will see him explore genres he hasn’t touched on since his time on ‘The X Factor’, as he hopes to change the narrative around him, following 2016’s ‘Back From The Edge’.

“I’ve made a conscious effort to get away from the self-deprecating stuff,” he tells HuffPost UK, when we meet him at Syco’s swanky west London HQ. “It made sense on the last album and talking about myself a lot, but I wanted to make a body of work that was about relating to people more. It felt like the logical next step for me.
