Ben Haenow celebrates triumph with Fleur East and Sarah-Jane Crawford at X Factor wrap party – but all four judges are a no-show
Only 48 hours earlier, Ben Haenow was in disbelief after learning he had won The X Factor 2014.
So no wonder he was still in the mood to party as he joined his fellow finalists and gracious runner-up Fleur East at the X Factor wrap party.
The former van driver from Croydon arrived at the Press nightclub in Mayfair on Tuesday evening, where he partied with the likes of Fleur and Xtra Factor presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford.

The singer triumphed on the ITV show at the weekend, beating Fleur East in a tense final result.
And he’s sure he’ll be able to do his own thing with a rock album of original material, rather than perhaps the more typical Mother’s Day covers collection some X Factor stars are known for.

Ben Haenow has spoken for the first time since his X Factor victory.
The Croydon-born 29-year-old, who beat Fleur East in last night’s final, said during an appearance on This Morning that his triumph “feels like a dream” – and hinted that he will propose to his long-term girlfriend Jessica Jones soon.
“It feels like a dream still. I can’t get my head around it… I don’t think until I get a couple of weeks to sit back from it that it’ll actually sink in,” said Haenow. “But I can’t believe it.”

Ben Haenow was joined by girlfriend Jessica Jones on Friday evening as he made the latest in a string of public appearances following his X Factor triumph last Sunday.
The 29-year-old was calling into Camden bar-restaurant Shaka Zulu for an intimate performance, and he was in understandably high spirits at the end of a whirlwind week, during which he’s been furiously promoting his debut single – a cover of OneRepublic hit Something I Need.
Sporting a smart pea jacket and ripped jeans, Ben – a former white van driver – greeted onlookers with a smile after arriving with long-term girlfriend Jessica.

He beat Fleur East to the coveted title of X Factor champion last weekend.
And Ben Haenow has been capitalising on his success with a series of gigs, taking to the stage at London’s G-A-Y on Saturday night to perform his debut single, Something I Need.
But the Croydon-based hunk got more than he bargained for when club owner Jeremy Joseph crept up behind him and smeared a handful of cake in his face.

Ben Haenow has won the battle for this year’s Christmas number one.
The 29-year-old’s single Something I Need had combined chart sales of over 214,000 and is now the second-fastest selling single of the year.
The song is behind Band Aid 30’s Do They Know It’s Christmas? – which shifted nearly 313,000 copies in its first week back in November.

She lost out to Ben Haenow during last week’s X Factor final.
But Fleur East hasn’t let the disappointing result get her down and is relishing in the exposure the ITV singing competition has given her, enjoying a fun-filled night out at Bodo’s Schloss in west London on Saturday.
The 26-year-old singer was joined by her sister Kesha and a group of friends as they celebrated her success on the show at the posh venue.

Leona Lewis has chucked new music online, but there’s only about fifteen seconds of it and it’s a live version and there’s no obvious title and it’s in a video that’s been shot from around eight miles (12.87km) away. To make the whole thing even more annoying, the song sounds really good.
The ‘I Got You’ hitmaker uploaded the clip – which is the first new music since she signed to Island Records back in June – via Instagram this morning, adding the caption “getting ready for 2015?.

X Factor 2013 winner Sam Bailey about to be dropped by Simon Cowell
Last year’s X Factor winner Sam Bailey has revealed she may be dropped this week, just before Christmas.
The 2013 champ put out an album of covers back in the Spring of this year, selling over 100,000 copies of her LP.
She returned to the live shows just a few weeks back to perform and plug a special Christmas edition of the record.
But now her future is in doubt just days before Christmas as her contract with Simon Cowell’s Syco record label is up.
“My contract has finished today with Syco so I don’t know what is going to happen. I just don’t know,” Sam said. “There is a cooling-off period and then there are negotiations, so we’ll see. I could be unemployed tomorrow.”

XFactor judges: Olly Murs is up for joining the panel
Olly Murs has admitted he’d love to jump into a seat on The X Factor UK panel.
The former X Factor finalist was rumoured to have been offered a spot on the series this year and has confessed he would love to join the show.
“I wouldn’t say no. It would be a great honour if they ever wanted me,” he declared this month.
Speaking about taking on a role on the panel, Olly said he wouldn’t be too “harsh” on the contestants having been through the process himself.
“I have such strong opinions, so I’d have to water it down a little bit. I couldn’t be too harsh because I know what the contestants are going through,” he explained.

X Factor 2015 auditions see age limit back up to 16
The age limit of The X Factor 2015 auditions has risen back up to 16.
That’s according to the newly launched auditions website, with applications for next year’s show already been taken.
Those who want to apply must now be at least 16 on the 30th April 2015.
Earlier this year saw the age limit for the series dropped back to 14 for the first time in five years, although just one of contestant in the live shows was younger than sixteen in the end.
During filming for the latest series, judge Cheryl clashed with Simon Cowell over the lowering of the limit.
Cheryl said of one young act: “I don’t think a 14-year-old needs that pressure on his shoulders. He’s got to do his GCSEs.”
