X Factor UK: The 2010 Panel to Reunite Next Year?

British tabloid The Sun has an exclusive story.

According to The Sun, ITV’s bosses are already planning season 11 of X Factor UK and their first goal is the right judging panel. Guess who they want? Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh. Yep, the best judging panel line-up I’ve ever seen. X Factor UK S5-7 (2008-2010).

Gary Barlow confirmed his departure from X Factor UK after season 10 and Sharon Osbourne‘s return was always a one-season-only event. In recent weeks several sources claimed that Nicole Sherzinger also wants to leave because doing The X Factor is a full time job for her and she wants to focus on her music career and personal life.

Simon Cowell is apparently being forced out of X Factor USA due to budget cuts. Basically, if X Factor USA gets season 4, it will be without Simon Cowell.

The Sun’s website is “subscription only”, so I’m going to use articles from other websites about The Sun’s story.

A source told the newspaper today: “The feeling is that 2010 was the show’s peak because it was the best possible judging line-up — and imagine the tension on that panel now.

“Simon knows pairing him with Dannii and Cheryl, while keeping his old mate Louis Walsh to spar with, is a blockbuster combination.”

They added: “Dannii and Cheryl both have a lot of reasons to be furious with him, for personal and professional reasons.

“But Simon’s a businessman. He knows it will make great viewing.”
Bookies have already installed Cheryl as a favourite to return to the series.

Louis Walsh also said that he wants to leave X Factor after season 10 and focus on his day-time job, but it appears that he recently had a change of heart. If Simon, Cheryl and Dannii really come back, I think it’s safe to say that Louis won’t miss the reunion.
