Check out the video teaser for Scotty McCreery’s “See You Tonight,” the lead single from his upcoming sophomore album. Scotty cowrote “See You Tonight” with Zach Crowell and Ashley Gorley, and the single is produced by Frank Rogers.
Just Jared puzzlingly reports that the song is “officially being released” today, despite the fact that it currently sits at #38 on the Billboard Country Airplay charts (in its 16th week on the chart) and #42 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase charts after officially going for country radio adds on 5/6. This is supported by a note on Scotty’s official site that identifies the single release date as 8/6/2013. UPDATE: Scotty’s official site now lists 4/9/2013 as the single release date so perhaps the earlier date was a temporary site glitch.
Is a relaunch of the single under way to go along with the impending video release? If it’s a sign of additional visibility and promotion planned to get some momentum going in “See You Tonight”‘s chart run, that can only be a good thing for this critical single in Scotty’s recording career.
What do you think of the video teaser, and do you think “See You Tonight” will eventually become Scotty’s 3rd t20 country hit? Also, what do you think of the new profile photo (posted above) for Scotty’s Facebook page?
