Bette 9 Desiree Hartsock’s Bachelorette Blog: ‘Love Can Be Unpredictable’

To have Chris meet my family was one of the happiest days of my life. I knew that they would take a liking to him right away and was excited to have everyone’s approval, including my brother’s. I didn’t just introduce my family to Chris – I introduced them to the man of my dreams and the man I would become engaged to.

Host Chris Harrison blogs ‘The Bachelorette’ finale — part 2
See how hard Chris spins his PR web!

I never truly saw in Des and Brooks what Des apparently saw and felt. I don’t know what it was, but I just never really felt it between the two of them. That’s not to say I was right or that I knew best, but it was just an observation. What I could clearly see was the love Drew and Chris had for Desiree and in particular what a great connection she had with Chris. Very early on I really thought he was the frontrunner. I thought this not just because of what Des said about him, but because of the way they were around each other and how he spoke about her to me off-camera. Brooks and Des seemed to have an awkward relationship that needed code words to describe it. I don’t know what it means to be “jogging” or “running” towards some mythical “finish line” that equals love, but I do know that Chris and Des never needed silly games to express their feelings.

Reality Steve’s Bachelorette Desiree Finale Recap: What Happened Last Night?

I’m not sure what people are expecting today regarding what we saw last night. If you’re expecting a long drawn out explanation regarding the wrong spoiler for this season, breaking down the who/what/when/where and why, I don’t have it. All season the information I was given had me 100% convinced Desiree was engaged to Brooks. Even as I was live tweeting last night during the show, I was convinced of it. Hell, with 15 minutes left in the show and no sense of Brooks, I was so sure of the information I’d seen and heard this season, that I STILL thought it was going to be Brooks. Seriously. At 8:45, with no Brooks in sight, I texted a couple friends and told them, “Chris is going to propose, she’s going to say no, and the After the Final Rose will start off with Chris Harrison and Desiree, and they will update us on what happened after she let go of Chris, and that’s where we’ll see she is with Brooks.” So yeah, I was that convinced my sources were right this season. Bottom line is I was wrong. No crying, no whining, no trying to pretend it was something other than it wasn’t. For the first time in the last seven shows this franchise has produced, I got the season ending spoiler wrong. Sucks, but what can I do? Move on, focus on Juan Pablo’s season, and get it right next time.

Bette 6 Ali Fedotowsky’s Bachelorette Blog: Desiree’s Choice and the Secrets Behind the Finale

Congratulations, Desiree and Chris! I’ve said since the second episode, in this same blog for E! Online, that Chris would be the one in the end. Honestly, the editing of the show is what put that thought in my head. So I’m happy to finally say that the spoilers were wrong and I’m glad they were. I think Desiree and Chris are such a sweet couple and I couldn’t be happier for them!

Bette 5 Jillian Harris’s Bachelorette Blog: ‘Last Night’s Proposal Wasn’t Romantic, It Was Sad’

I have to admit, I don’t think last night’s proposal was romantic. I thought it was sad :( Blame it on the editing with the whole Brooks fiasco or maybe it wasn’t editing — maybe it was real life, but I think everyone and their dog expected Brooks to come back. They saw how her heart was with him, and then in the end, she chose Chris. I felt this episode, she was sad, she was healing, and her heart was broken. And maybe, just maybe, her statement was true: That Chris was there all along and he is what she really needed, but I don’t think she was over Brooks and that makes all of this a tricky situation. It’s a rushed situation and all you have is your instinct. At that moment, she could have truly realized that Chris was the one, or she could have just needed the support he as able to give her to get over Brooks. It’s not my place to say which it is, but there was a part of me that was sad for her last night. In any light, my opinion will not change her outcome, it won’t affect their happiness, and I am more than OK being wrong. I HOPE I am wrong, but regardless of whether I am right or wrong…because I have been through this process more than once…there is one thing I know, and that is SHE WILL be happy. Sometimes it just takes a little time.

Bach Ben’s Jaclyn Schwarz JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN JUAN

Wait did I mention Juan Pablo yet in this post? Not enough? OK GOOD. Because here is the running list of why I effing love Juan Pablo as the new Bachelor.

1) The puns. Puns gotta be number Juan on this list.

2) He’s a soccer player. It’s like, he could knock me up, and the whole saying “he’s gonna be a socca playa!” IS ACTUALLY REAL AND MAKES SENSE.

3) His 5 O’clock shadow.

4) His accent. Even though we won’t understand half the shit he says, it sounds good comin out.

5) This is not a reason I love him, but more so a suggestion. Girls going through finals, who will know if they made the show any day now, SHOULD BE BUYING ROSETTA STONE. All of you. Every. single. one. of. you. Also, be thankful you found out who your Bachelor is going to be over a month prior to leaving for the show. NOT JEALOUS AT ALL.

Bachelorette Recap Part 2 Finale: Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole!

Hola my reality show loving friends. It is I…Juan Pablo.
The rumors are true. I will be your next bachelor! I know you were anxious when mi amigo Chris Harrison teased the news. Most of you were nervous that Drew would be chosen, but quickly switched gears when Our Host described the fortunate soul as charismatic. You crossed your fingers, hoping mi compadre Shirtless Zak wouldn’t be the one in the footage standing on the beach. And then you saw the athletic shorts and became hopeful. Hopeful that when the camera finished panning up my body there would be a Venezuelan stallion staring off into the horizon.

‘The Bachelorette’ star Desiree Hartsock accepts proposal from Chris Siegfried and dumps suitor Drew Kenney

“I am confident in saying this 100%, and I’m not just saying it to say it and there’s a lot behind it. It’s not just a yes or a no. It’s a, do you want to grow old together? Do you want to share your experiences with me in life? Can I share mine with you? Do you want to start a family? Do you want to have kids? Desiree Hartsock, I want to be your first and I want to be your last. Will you marry me?” Chris S. asked.

“Yes, 1000 times!” Desiree replied, adding that she wanted to grow “old and wrinkly” with him and promised to always tell him everything.

‘The Bachelorette’ host: Desiree Hartsock’s relationship with Chris Siegfried makes Brooks Forester’s look “laughable

“The odds really weren’t in [Chris’] favor to succeed, but succeed he did. The moment they met again [in Antigua], Des instantly knew. She knew the greatest gift of all had been sitting right there under her nose the entire time… When you see Chris and Des together it really makes her relationship with Brooks almost laughable. You just can’t compare the two,” Harrison wrote in his Entertainment Weekly blog, adding how Hartsock truly bounced back following Forester’s departure.

Diogo Custodio – The Man Behind the Armor

When I saw the man get out of the limo in a suit of armor for The Bachelorette Season 9, I was intrigued. I know the producers encourage the contestants to find a “gimmick” that will make them stand out. But as I watched Diogo’s quiet and humble demeanor, it didn’t seem to match the elaborate steel sportcoat he was wearing.

I knew I wanted to know more about the man hiding behind the body shield. In doing this interview I only asked one thing…will the real Diogo Custodio please stand up? And he did…

TELECONFERENCES with the Cast

Brooks Forester: I didn’t regret leaving ‘The Bachelorette’ star Desiree Hartsock, coming back was never an option

Reality TV World: Spoilers had circulated all season, claiming you were the last man standing and got engaged to Desiree. How was it dealing with that all season, and when you talked to Desiree last night, it came across like you actually hadn’t known she ended up with Chris. So is that really what happened? Because a lot of viewers are surprised you didn’t know how it ended.

Brooks Forester: Yeah, I honestly did not know how it ended. I still haven’t seen the show. I still haven’t seen what happened, and I was sequestered yesterday while the show aired. So no, I didn’t know the ending.

The last two months have been difficult. Everybody assumed that we were together and had conversations with me, and I don’t like alluding to anything. I had to play a very fine line and say, “Oh, just watch the season! And I hope for the best for Des and myself and everyone involved.” That’s just not a comfortable line to follow, so I’m glad that that’s over and I’m really glad to see this season come to an end.

‘The Bachelorette’ star Desiree Hartsock: Chris Siegfried was never a second choice!

Reality TV World: Des, viewers have been wondering why you never told Chris that you had already eliminated Drew until the very last minute. Because that seemed to suggest you weren’t confident Chris was the one for you or you were looking to keep open the option that Brooks might come back. Was that something where the producers wouldn’t let you tell him Drew was gone, or what was going on there?

Desiree Hartsock: No, actually, I mean, I just didn’t want to put that added pressure onto him. I never had any kind of hope for Brooks to come back. That ship had sailed. So I was just focused on my relationship with Chris, and you know, I wanted it to be the right moment and the right time to really express everything to him.

Yeah, I didn’t want to that added pressure if he knew he was the only one meeting my family or the only one that was still left. So I think it worked out nicely, the way he found out.
