There is no Dancing with the Stars tonight, as the finale aired last Monday. However, here is a fun clip for fans who need a DWTS fix right about now.
Pro-dancer Val Chmerkovskiy directed and co-choreographed a mini movie featuring his celebrity partner Olivia Jade, who did the styling. In it, the two perform the finale freestyle that never was. The two were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars in 8th place just ahead of the semifinals.
The “Freestyle” is Disco, with a nostalgic Soul Train backdrop. First, the two perform a dynamic disco freestyle. Afterward, a trio of children, including Val’s nephew Shai (son of brother Maks and wife Peta Murgatroyd. She plays the DJ), judge them with fun emojis.

Next a group of dancers show off their moves in a dance train reminiscent of that 70’s era dance show. The end result is retro entertainment at its finest.
“Which one would you be if you were in our soul train?” Val writes on social media. “What a time to be alive. Look at the colors the personalities the joy. One of the million reasons I’m grateful to dance is for putting me in a room with the most diverse, dynamic, and accepting people you’re ever going to come across. If you’re not yet, you should be dancing immediately.”
