On last night’s The Bachelorette (May 27), oh so casually, Hannah Brown revealed that Tyler Gwozdz left the competition. This, one week after he got the season’s first one-on-one date.
“Tyler G. had to leave, and that’s upsetting, because I really enjoyed my date with him,” she said in voice over. And that was it for Tyler.
As it turns out, reports Entertainment Tonight. Tyler didn’t leave the show, he was removed by production “amid online comments.” In particular there is a Reddit thread regarding past behavior toward an ex-girlfriend.
Posting this from a throwaway account because I’m an active poster and don’t want this tied to my account or friends.
BUT two of my best friends went to high school with Tyler Gwozdz. They both say that he is the BIGGEST a****** d***** of all time. My friend used the words “extreme m*sog*nist.”
The story that most caught my attention involves his treatment of an ex. Apparently he dated a really sweet girl but they would get in public screaming matches often. The relationship ended horrifically – while in Europe he SPIT ON HER and left.
Neither of these friends really watch the show but they cannot believe he’s going to be on TV.
When asked by ET about her connection with Tyler last week, however, Hannah didn’t imply anything was off. “I think the date went really good,” she shared. “We didn’t see our conversation the first night, but he just has a gentle spirit about him.”
Fans on Reddit believe ABC released information about the guys before filming so that internet sleuths could dig up the dirt. Maybe? After all, they seem unable to find the simplest red flags. For instance, last season’s contestant, Lincoln, was convicted of indecent assault and battery–a thing that should be easy to find.
