Seven milestones on the seventh day of March.

Fifth Season American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry achieves another top 10 hit on Active Rock with “Separate Ways”. It is a collaboration with Lizzy Hale and is a cover of the original Journey song. He was inspired to do his version of the song after hearing it featured on “Stranger Things”.

Jax was third on the 14th season of idol. Her viral hit “Victoria’s Secret” is still on the radio and now her latest single “Cinderella Snapped” joins it. The single debuts on HAC and continues her theme of female empowerment.

From the COVID addition of Idol (Season 18 in 2020), Lauren Spencer Smith has a new song on the chart as well. “Best Friend Breakup” debuted on HAC and focuses on the dissolution of a friendship.

So You Think You Can Dance’s Tate McRae collaborated with Tiesto for “10:35”. The single is top 20 on Pop and top 50 on HAC. Now it is also top 40 on Rhythmic.

Niall Horan and his group One Direction came in third on X-Factor UK. He is also a coach this season on the US version of The Voice. The debut single for his third album goes top 30 on HAC this week.

Speaking of The Voice, Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” remains on the BB200 chart. This week it is 6th (last week it was 5th) with 46K in equivalent album sales (up 5% from the previous week). His latest single “One Thing at a Time” storms up the Country chart to top 40. Meanwhile, his previous single “Last Night” goes top 40 on Pop and returns to the Country chart. Since it previously went recurrent on Country, I’m not sure how it can be back – recurrent?
