Good news for comedian and SNL alum, Tracy Morgan. He’s been transferred from a New Jersey hospital to a physical rehabilitation center where he will recuperate from multiple broken bones, including ribs, nose and a femur.
The injuries were sustained in a 6 car pileup that left 4 hurt. Fellow comedian, Jimmy McNair died as the result of his injuries.
Tracy’s spokesperson, Lewis Kay confirms he will remain at the undisclosed facility for “the next few weeks.”
While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go,” said Kay of Tracy’s condition. “He and (fiancé) Megan wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him.”
Kevin Roper, the driver of the Wal-Mart truck that hit the limo bus Tracy was travelling in, is alleged by police to have fallen asleep at the wheel. He’s pled not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto.
