Saturday Night Live alum and 30 Rock star, Tracy Morgan was involved in a horrific 6 vehicle accident early Saturday morning that left him in critical condition in a New Jersey hospital and killed fellow comedian, Jimmy McNair.
Tracy’s rep has released a statement to clear up rumors that have been swirling since the accident, including that the comedian’s leg would have to be amputated (FALSE).
Tracy remains in critical but stable condition. His fiancée Megan is by his side. The concern for his well-being has been overwhelming, but Megan is respectfully asking that the media await official word through these channels before speculating (mostly inaccurately) on his condition. Rumors about amputating his leg are completely fabricated. As we shared yesterday, Tracy had surgery on his broken leg. Tracy remains in critical condition and is expected to be in the hospital for weeks. The accident happened when the driver of a tractor trailer for Walmart, slammed into Tracy’s limo, overturning it and causing a chain collision with the other vehicles.
