American Idol and The Masked Singer alum, Tori Kelly is improving after health scare

Tori Kelly is on the mend after falling ill Sunday night. The American Idol and The Masked Singer alum collapsed on July 23 while at dinner with friends. They rushed the singer to the hospital.

According to her husband, Andre Murillo, she’s gaining strength day by day.

“Tori is smiling again and feeling stronger. Not fully out of the woods, but we see the sun,” he writes on his Instagram Story. “Just waiting on a few more answers.”

Tori collapsed while dining out with friends, doctors found blood clots

Sources close to the American Idol season 9 alum told TMZ that she was at dinner in downtown Los Angeles Sunday night with friends when her heart started beating really fast. Tori passed out, and was “out for a while.”

Tori’s friends wanted to make sure she wasn’t taken to a hospital downtown, and instead taken to Cedars-Sinai, which has has a stellar reputation, says TMZ’s source. Her friends carried her outside, loaded her in a vehicle and sped to the hospital instead of calling an ambulance.

Doctors discovered blood clots in Tori’s legs and her lungs–a very dangerous health situation.

Tori’s husband shared song lyrics

One day after her hospitalization, her husband shared some song lyrics from her Justin Bieber collaboration, “Where Do I Fit In,” on his Instagram Story.

“When I’m all alone and fear is all I see / Sittin’ in the silence with these insecurities / And then you remind me, you’re holdin’ me tight / And you love me completely, you’re always by my side,” Kelly sings in “Where Do I Fit In.”

The singer’s EP Tori is due out on July 28.
