While Kirsten is away traveling the land of Oz these next three weeks, I’m going to attempt to take over posting Idol sales and airplay updates. Bear with me please… Kirsten really is the master when it comes to crunching the numbers!

There will be no Mediabase updates while Kirsten is away, but lucky for us, Ken Barnes from USA Today’s Idol Chatter has posted an airplay update based on charts from Radio and Records. Hooray! Jordin Sparks has a Top 40 Hit as “Tattoo” makes the Top 40 chart at #38, Elliott Yamin’s “Wait For You” hangs in at #7 and looking over Ken’s post, I realize that I totally left Kellie Pickler’s new single off the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart this week! I fixed it. “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind” debuted at #59 last week and climbed to #45 this week (same on R&R).
Daughtry’s “Over You” moves into the Top 10, and according to Radio and Records that makes them “the first group since Maroon 5 to hit the top 40 format’s top 10 with its first three releases.”
