The Voice season 9 winner Jordan Smith miraculously escaped injury on Wednesday (Sept 11) after the vehicle he was driving flipped over as a result of a car accident.
The singer shared details of the incident on Facebook alongside a photo of himself and the car post-crash.
Yesterday I experienced what can only be described as Divine protection. I walked (well, crawled) away from what should have been a devastating situation with only that cute little scratch on my arm.
Also, my trunk popped open and spread all my clothes, shoes, and Only Love CDs all over the interstate. Worst. Scavenger hunt. Ever.
The only thing in the car that was still in place was Kristen’s Bible in the back window. If you’ve ever wondered if God is real, check below!

Looking at the photos Jordan posted , it’s amazing he walked away from the crash with only a minor injury. An account of the accident from a local Harlan county, Kentucky TV station did not provide more details regarding the crash. It’s unknown at this time exactly where it happened, only that his clothes ended up all over an “interstate.” It appears there were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
Jordan, a four chair turn during his blind audition, won season 9 of The Voice in the fall of 2015 as a member of Team Adam Levine. The singer has since released three studio albums, and co-wrote “Ashes” which was recorded by Celine Dion for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack in 2018.
