The Voice season 16 Blind Auditions concluded Monday night (March 18). And now it’s on to the Battles.
The Voice Season 16 Recap – Blind Auditions 6 Live Blog and Videos
A few thoughts:
- Why any country artist would choose Adam Levine over Kelly Clarkson is beyond my comprehension. Kelly is not only a country fan, but she’s got important connections in Nashville, including her husband who manages big Nashville acts. She has also had big country hits with Reba and Jason Aldean. You’re gonna regret that decision, Andrew Jannakos.
- A country dude finally did land on Kelly’s team. And he happened to be Red Marlow’s nephew, Jackson Marlow. He said Kelly was his first choice? I can’t imagine Uncle Red recommending any other team than Team Blake.
- My favorite voices of the night include: the emotive Celia Babini, soulful singer Kevin Jarvis (John should have turned for him!), big voiced pop singer Presley Tennant and gritty blues singer Rod Stokes.
FYI: Need to catch up on the Blind Audition? NBC is airing a The Voice clip show Wednesday March 20 at 8 pm.
