There were more Blind Auditions on last night’s (March 11) The Voice. Here are a few of my thoughts.
- Favorite performances of the night: Gravelly voiced Ciera Dumas, polished soul singer Beth Griffin-Manley, neo-soul singer Mari (major points for the 70’s retro fashion vibe), buttery soul singer, Shawn Sounds.
- Kelly compared 14 year old Mikaela Astel to Regina Spektor, but I could not help being reminded of America’s Got Talent 2016 winner, Grace Vanderwaal. She was 12 when she won AGT. I’m just waiting for Mikaela to break out a ukulele. Heh.
- Southern rock singer Andrew Sevener only got a turn from Blake. But he’s right where he belongs and is the type of singer that does REALLY WELL on The Voice.
- I sorta hate public proposals. But good luck to Denton Arnell and his new fiance.
Just as an FYI: NO Tuesday episodes until they pick back up again on April 9. See you next Monday (March 18)! Additionally, the Blinds end at Episode 6 on Monday March 18. A Best of the Blinds clip show is scheduled for WEDNESDAY March 20.
