The Voice Season 14 Recap: Live Playoffs 3 Live Blog (VIDEO)
Wednesday kept up a crazy pace. Even Adam came right out and said he hated the format. Oops. But at the end of a hectic week of performances we have our Top 12.
Of course, as there always is, there were some disappointment. I would have traded Dylan Hartigan for Kaleb Lee on Team Kelly. Wilkes for Pryor Baird on Team Blake. And Drew Cole or Mia Boostrom for Jackie Verna on Team Adam. Team Alicia was so strong, any cut was going to hurt. I wish Terrence Cunningham and Kelsea Johnson could have found a way forward. Terrence may have tried to do too much this week and Kelsea could have chosen a more familiar song. What I appreciate about all my disappointments were their creativity and/or versatility and willingness to go out on a limb. The artists I would have traded off were more conventional singers. But we’re talking about a voting show. The most crowd pleasing performer is going to prevail. Oh well.
I think the days of overnight voting are fast disappearing, people. WEST COAST BE DAMNED. The best format for the playoffs were TWO two hour performance shows on Monday and Tuesday followed by a one hour results show on Wednesday. Is NBCs schedule that hard to shake up a little bit to accommodate? Rushing through 24 performances plus voting and results in two hours is dumb. JUST DUMB. C’mon NBC.
So you know what to do. It’s time to vote for your favorites.
