It’s Official. The Voice Season 13 Comeback Artists are:
Team Blake Shelton – Natalie Stovall
Team Adam Levine – Whitney Fenimore
Team Miley Cyrus – Karli Webster
Team Jennifer Hudson – Lucas Holliday
The four artists will join 20 other contestants to compete in next week’s Playoffs. Notice the omission of the word “live.” For the first time since season 6, the Playoffs were taped earlier, which means the coaches hand picked the Top 12 with no help from viewer votes. BOO.
He’s a short rundown of the singers returning to the competition:
Nashville watchers were shocked when Natalie Stovall’s performance was montaged during the Blind Auditions. A well known artist around Music City, she plays fiddle in radio personality Bobby Bones band. In her 30s, she’s been kicking around the music business for quite awhile.
A viral video of Lucas Holliday covering Maxwell working a cash register during his day job caught The Voice producers’ attention. He’s one of those artists who surprised the coaches once they turned around and got a look at him.
During the blind auditions, Whitney Fenimore’s cover of “Hold on We’re Going Home” had Adam Levine recalling the late Christina Grimmie and her game changing version of the song.
Karli Webster takes her cues from the 70’s singer/songwriter icons such as Carly Simon and Linda Ronstadt. The singer’s throwback vibe caught Miley Cyrus’ attention immediately.
Next week’s playoffs are a 3 night extravaganza. On Monday, Team Jennifer Hudson and Team Blake Shelton will take the stage. On Tuesday it’s Team Miley Cyrus. And on a special Wednesday show at 9 pm ET/PT, Team Adam Levine is set to perform.
The Voice season 13 live shows will FINALLY begin on Monday November 20. What a relief that will be. As always, we’ll be live blogging all the performances and results.
