The Voice Ratings Drop Again, DWTS Slips From Premiere

The Voice fell 2/10ths of a point vs last week’s preliminary numbers. The numbers may rise in the final update, so watch for that. DWTS fell 1/10th from last week’s premiere.

UPDATE: The Voice adjusted up to 1.5 in the final update.

The Voice remained No. 1 for the night, but its 1.4 was off two tenths of a point from last week’s fast nationals (it adjusted up in the finals). Dancing With the Stars declined a bit from its premiere, falling a tenth to 1.0.

Maybe Idol’s return is diluting the singing show waters, and hurting The Voice ratings. Idol earned a 1.8 rating on Sunday night across all time zones. But while Idol is beating The Voice right now in the demo, remember The Voice easily outpaced its rival in a head to head battle. I suspect that still would be true.

Well, the battle of the season finales in two weeks will tell the tale! (American Idol’s finale will air against The Voice’s performance finale).
