The Voice “Double Chair Take Over” at Ole Red in Nashville featured fan-favorite alums and surprise guests!
Blake Shelton may have exited The Voice forever, but he is not severing ties from the show completely. Over the course of three days–from Wednesday March 20 through Friday March 21–a slew of The Voice alums performed at his bar, Ole Red in Nashville.
The “Double Chair Takeover” event featured the new “double chair” on display for fans to check out. Additionally, the first The Voice coach duo, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, aka Dan + Shay, who sit in said chairs, dropped by to say hi and buy the bar a round of drinks. And then, SURPRISE, Blake Shelton himself videoed in to say hello to the fans.
The stage lineup included: Craig Wayne Boyd with Kinsey Rose and Wendy Moten on Wednesday, Alexandra Kay with Huntley, Jake Hoot and Lana Scott on Thursday and The Dryes with Worth The Wait, Pete Mroz and Krystal Steel on Friday.
The Voice 25 is airing now on NBC with double-chair team Dan + Shay alongside John Legend, Reba McEntire and Chance the Rapper.

Blake Shelton calls in
What are you doing in my Bar?” He joked, “By the time I left the show, (the chair) turned into a double wide.” Later that day, the duo were playing at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
