The Voice Coaches Talk “Chair Turn Regret” In People Special Edition

Look! People magazine has put out a special edition celebrating 15 seasons of The Voice. The 96 page feature highlights the current season, starring Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton.

According to People’s preview: “15 Seasons of The Voice highlights each season’s best moments, takes you inside Shelton and Levine’s prank-filled bromance, and gives a sneak peek at what you can expect to see this season. Plus, find out what past contestants and winners have impressed the coaches the most.

The special edition also includes this dishy article about “Chair Turner’s Remorse.” The coaches, don’t name names, but it’s fun to guess which contestants may have been not worth the turn:

“I will say that there have been times, even recently, where I’ve been so into somebody and then once they’ve started talking, I was like, ‘Wow,’” says Kelly Clarkson.

Clarkson says that while a confident contestant is good, sometimes that confidence can turn into a “super-entitled thing,” which can be off-putting.

“There’s no way to [deal with it],” Shelton tells PEOPLE. “You still have to do your job. But nine times out of 10, people with that mentality never really last that long.”

And if their mentee isn’t listening to their advice, Levine says he’ll “check out” and “let them do whatever they want, because that’s going to send them home.”

Here’s a short piece on Adam Levine’s “strategy” to woo contestants.

Levine, who currently has a total of three Voice wins, confirms that having the last word is “a technique we realized over time — usually whoever has the last word gets the person.”

Really? Are there studies that prove his point? Heh.

15 Seasons of The Voice is available on Amazon and wherever magazines are sold. Check out the cover below.
