It’s the 20th season of The Voice on NBC, and on Monday (May 3) the network looked back at 10 years of the popular competitive singing show. The two hour clip show also reminded fans of the 16 singers who will compete in the LIVE Playoffs next Monday. The show also took a look at the four saved singers from each team who vied for YOUR votes and a spot in the Top 17, to be announced next Monday.

10 Years of superstar coaches

The Road to Lives Anniversary Edition reviewed fan-favorite highlights of the show from the last 10 years. For instance, here’s a clip celebrating the music stars who have served as The Voice coaches. Blake Shelton is the only panelist to sit in the big rad chair all 20 seasons. Kelly Clarkson first joined The Voice as a coach in spring 2018 after mentoring for a few seasons. John Legend climbed aboard The Voice train in spring 2019. And Nick Jonas served two seasons in spring 2020 and 2021.

But in between there were a slew of coaches who came and went: Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine, Shakira,Usher, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson.

The below clip takes a look at the coaches, both past and present.

10 years of antics

And here’s a round up of many sitcom-worthy moments from The Voice over the years. Kelly’s favorite funny moment is the coaches singing Happy Birthday to CammWess and nobody remembering his name. Also, relive Blake threatening to send the cute pupper on his lap to an animal shelter if a singer didn’t choose him. And of course, remember the coaches mocking Kelly for talking so much?  And for total lulz, there is the hopeful singer who bonked his girlfriend in the head before proposing to her. Check it out below.

And don’t forget the artists! Watch the highlights

Additionally, all season, The Voice Youtube channel has featured full auditions and best of performances from memorable former contestants like season 9 winner Jordan Smith, Season 1 finalist Vicci Martinez, the late Christina Grimmie, who came in 3rd on season 6, season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery, season 3 winner Cassadee Pope, season 14 winner Brynn Cartelli, season 10 winner Alisan Porter, season 1 winner Javier Colon, season 13 finalist Brooke Simpson, season 5 singer Matthew Schuler, and season 3 finalist Melanie Martinez

Notably absent in the “best ofs” is the most successful The Voice alum so far, Morgan Wallen, who was cut at the Playoffs in season 6. The hit making country singer is in the midst of a racial controversy, and is still serving his penance

The Voice uploaded one audition that had never aired. Loren Allred, cut at the Playoffs on on season 3, went on to record the platinum selling “Never Enough” from the musical soundtrack to the film The Greatest Showman. That song has become a singing show staple. She also dueted with Michael Buble on “Help Me Make it Through the Night” for his Love album. And she performed with Mr. Kat McPhee aka David Foster as part of his An Intimate Evening PBS concert special and album.
