The Voice 25 coaches Chance the Rapper, John Legend, Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay perform the Jackie DeShannon classic ‘Put a Little Love in Your Heart’

If it’s a new season of The Voice, that means it’s time for a brand new coaches performance. For season 25, coaches Chance the Rapper, John Legend, Reba McEntire and new coaching duo Dan + Shay perform Jackie DeShannon’s 1969 hit “Put a Little Love In Your Heart.”

For the first time ever on the US version of The Voice, the coaching panel will feature a “double chair.” Country duo Dan + Shay will sit in two chairs that share a button and swivel together. Hopefully, the two agree on most things. They’ll have to make split second decisions about whether to hit their single button for an artist or not. Singers who wind up on their team will be coached by both musicians.

In the meantime, it’s not only double the chair, but double the Country, as Reba McEntire returns to The Voice for back to back seasons. Ditto for the returning John Legend. And after taking season 24 off, Chance the Rapper comes back for his sophomore season.

The Voice season 25 will feature a Top 40

Like last spring’s Season 23, Season 25 will feature four teams of 10, for a total of 40 artists paired up for the Battle Rounds. The Knockouts and Playoffs follow afterward. All taped rounds were filmed last year simultaneously alongside season 24.

As far as “Put a Little Love in Your Heart,” it’s the first time a coaches performance involves a stage full of Gospel singers. The Voice season 25 version of “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” is quite the rousing rendition. Watch below.

Heads up! The Voice 25 premieres on Monday February 26 beginning at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC. However for this week only, Monday and Tuesday’s two part premiere episodes will each run 90 minutes long.
