The Voice Season 24 Full Schedule CONFIRMED

Willie Gomez – 37 – La Bachata by Manuel Turizo

Willie, from the Dominican Republic, loves to dance and sing. Now, he and his family live in Miami. The first year in the US, his dad had a stroke and passed away 7 years later. Dancing led him to work on a Latin TV show and performing with several famous artists. Britney Spears herself sends a good luck message. Willie sings a Spanish language song, and while he has stage presence, his voice is unremarkable. Regardless all the coaches turn. Gwen is the first, followed by Reba and then John and Niall.

Niall could tell he was dancing and compliments his “long, round voice.” Gwen calls his voice flawless. “You’re super gifted and super talented.” Niall accuses her of “flirting” and pretends to tattle to her husband Blake. It’s like he never left! John compliments Willie’s strong vocals that are also breathy at times. He considers Willie a full package talent wise. Reba jokes that she didn’t understand his words. “She says the same to me!” jokes Niall. – 4-chair turn, Willie picks Team Legend

Olivia Eden – 15 – This Town by Niall Horan

NBC previewed this audition earlier today. Olivia chooses to cover Niall’s first solo single, “This Town” from 2016. And he doesn’t mind at all, hitting his button immediately. Reba hits her button next. Olivia has a pretty tone and some nice phrasing. But she has pitch problems and sounds young. She’s underbaked. I wish these kids would wait a year or two before auditioning for talent shows. Oh, but It’s not her first shot at reality shows. She was on Top Chef Jr. at 10 years old. She’s a talented cook!

“Great song choice,” says Niall, “I know that one well.” The young singer is so flustered, she misses her mark on stage. John calls her tone charming and beautiful. Gwen loves the “yodel” in her voice. Niall wants to hear her sing country music. He calls her voice “captivating,” and thanks her for picking his song. Reba is “flabbergasted” at her “vocal ease.” Unsurprisingly, she picks Niall – Reba and Niall turn. Olivia picks Team Niall

Caitlin Quisenberry – 27 – Rainbow by Kacey Musgraves

She started singing at Baptist church at 3 years old. Eventually, Caitlin attended Pepperdine on scholarship and attended law school. But when her grandmother got sick, she realized that she needed to follow her musical dreams. She moved to Nashville and recorded independent music. Her tone is lovely, but she sounds really nervous and disconnected. Reba–who turns her chair A LOT–hits her button. After a big soaring note, Gwen turns at the last minute.

Niall regrets not turning. John calls the beginning shaky, but felt the performance got stronger at the end. Reba once again touts her experience, saying she can help the singer improve. Gwen compliments Caitlin’s range. She promises to be a cheerleader and to help all the pieces together. In the end, Caitlin picks her fellow redhead Reba – Reba and Gwen turn, Caitlin picks Team Reba

Clayton Davis – 34 – Sunday Morning by Maroon 5

Clayton’s wife and young, energetic son accompany him to his audition. By day, he’s a project coordinator for a construction company. He only gigs about once a month. His college band has opened for a bunch of famous artists. His tone has a unique quality. It snaps. But he’s pitchy in his upper register. The high notes are really rough. Unsurprisingly, none of the coaches turn.

John thinks he needs more experience and practice. Gwen was looking for more dynamics. Niall missed an emotional connection. – No Turns

Kara Tenae – 33 – Boo’d Up by Ella Mai

Kara was a rideshare driver. Uber asked her to be part of a campaign with Julia Michaels that aired during the Grammys. Originally from California, Kara lives in Atlanta now. Initially, she performed in a girl group. But her solo career has been hard. The attention from the commercial was short lived and she’s looking for other avenues to stay in the game. Kara has a classic R&B sound. Her runs are complicated and rangy. Gwen is the first to turn, Niall is next and then Reba of course. John does not turn, even when she hits a high note.

Niall called her runs “crazy.” Reba could tell her music comes from her “inner soul” and calls her vocal range “incredible.” Gwen thinks she can help her find emotion and showcase her talent. She wants to take Kara to the next level. Kara picks Gwen! – Gwen, Niall and Reba turn, Kara picks Team Gwen

Caleb Sasser – 27 – Another Sad Love Song by Toni Braxton

Caleb is a middle school music teacher in Los Angeles. He grew up on gospel music in North Carolina. The gospel world gave him opportunities like singing “Fallin'” with Alicia Keys on stage. Caleb’s tone is so remarkable that Niall and Gwen hit their buttons right away, followed by Reba and then finally John. His voice has incredible range, particularly his high and sweet upper register. He shifts into singing a few jazz riffs, and John is on his feet.

John could hear some Anita Baker in his voice and he loved the jazz influence. Caleb is a big fan. Gwen knows she doesn’t have a chance. But she feels she can help him with stage presence. “Think about doing something different today!” she suggests. Niall would love to have a singer like him on his team. Reba felt peace inside listening to his voice. Oh. He watched Reba on TV and loves her. However, he picks John – 4-chair turn, Caleb picks Team Legend
