The Voice 19 Blind Auditions: Lauren Frihauf vs. Payge Turner (Video)

The Voice 19 Blind Auditions Lauren Frihauf vs. Payge Turner

The Voice 19 Battle Rounds kick off on Monday! Each team of 10 will be paired up by their coaches to perform incredible duets. After the performances, the coach will choose a winner who will move on to the Knockout Rounds. The remaining singer is eliminated unless he or she is stolen by another coach. Each coach gets two steals.

Performing on Monday are Lauren Frihauf and Payge Turner from Team Gwen Stefani. The pair performs “If The World Was Ending” by JP Saxe & Julia Michaels. Notably, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the singers perform on separate stages. It’s a little weird, but it does seem to work. Better safe than not, right?

After a powerful performance, Kelly Clarkson calls the performance “intense,” and notes that she could not keep her eyes off of Payge, calling her tone “special.” She’d go with Payge.

Blake Shelton hasn’t accepted that Payge isn’t on his team. He would also choose Payge.

John Legend felt both singers did a good job conveying the meaning of the lyrics, which were co-written by Gwen’s Battle advisor, Julia Michaels. He’s not sure who Gwen should pick.

Gwen feels both singers are equally artistic, making it hard for her to choose between the two. But to find out who Gwen chooses (and if there is a steal!), tune into The Voice on NBC, Monday Nov. 9 at 8 pm. However, if you just can’t wait to find out the results check out our spoiler page.
