The 17 year old New York City native so thrilled the coaches with her mature performance, that they all hit their buttons, hoping to convince the singer to join their respective teams.
Kelly Clarkson gushed “I love this song!” and noted that her 17 year old step daughter introduced her to the song. John Legend compared Celia to acts like Adele, Florence Welch and Fiona Apple, but stressed that the young singer had a sound all her own. Blake Shelton, who called her performance “literally captivating” realized he was the odd man out, but hit his button, “because I think you’re a champ.” Adam Levine felt that Celia embodied a “raw power” that’s missing from music today.
