The Voice season 12 Blind Audition begin TONIGHT. Here are tonight’s performance pairs. All six performances were already spoiled in Wednesday night’s clip show. Click for Battle Round Spoilers.
The clip show rehashes stuff we’ve already seen, but it’s interesting to see which singers get highlighted. For instance, Kenny P, and Missy Robertson got the gloss over introductions while their counterparts were featured with longer clips of their backstories and performances. Maybe the producers are throwing viewers a curve ball, but probably not.
Also, I have SUCH mixed feelings about the Battle Rounds. The duets are high stakes and often result in some of the best performances of the season. But only SIX performances in two hours? Too much time spent on yakety yak, superstar advisers notwithstanding. On The Voice UK, which is airing now on ITV, Battle Rounds were two episodes, 10 performances in one two hour episode. It was much better pacing overall.
