Get ready for The Voice season 12 Battle Rounds part 2. The coaches will be joined by superstar advisors to help prepare team members to battle. Two singers duet, only ONE advances to the Knockout rounds. That is, unless, another coach steals them. Each coach gets two steals.
Adam Levine will be joined by John Legend. Luke Bryan joins forces with his buddy Blake Shelton. Celine Dion teaches Team Gwen Stefani a thing or two about singing. And, DJ Khaled helps Alicia Keys prepare her team.

Johnny Gates vs Sammie Zonana – Team Gwen Stefani – I Drove All Night by Cyndi Lauper/Celine Dion – I really don’t consider this song a “Celine Dion” song. But whatever! What’s more, the duo’s rocked up version owes more to the original. The whole “OMG the alternative duo is singing Celine!” Ha. Not quite. In any case, Celine is hella impressed with both singers’ originality. Gwen suggests Johnny set the guitar aside in order for the two to really connect. I like both singers. I wish both could get stolen. But I prefer Sammie. Johnny has a clear high tone, but is a typical classic rocker. Sammie, a true indie artist, has a voice I could easily pick out of a crowd. Adam thinks they’re both really unique, but he’s drawn to Johnny. Blake calls it “loose and edgy.” Alicia really appreciates Sammie’s stage presence. She’d also choose Johnny. Gwen Chooses Johnny. NOT SURPRISED Sammie is Eliminated. Boo.

RJ Collins vs Chris Blue – Team Alicia Keys – Adorn by Miguel – From a tough neighborhood, RJ’s brother was killed in the streets. Chris’s fiance had cancer and nearly died on the operating table. SOB STORY CENTRAL. Alicia wanted to pick a current song that sounded classic. RJ compares Chris to Smokey Robinson. Chris is impressed with RJ’s runs. Alicia suggests that RJ dial back the runs, though. DJ didn’t feel they were meshing well at first. But by the next rehearsal, they seemed to get it together. Chris has obviously listened carefully to and taken notes on the greats like Smokey and Marvin. He doesn’t attempt to dazzle with runs, but the combo of his range, phrasing and tone is simply stunning. RJ is a solid R&B singer, but he doesn’t stand a chance. Gwen is practically drooling over Chris. Blake raises an eyebrow. She’d pick him. Boy would she. Adam felt the beginning was messy, but they ended up in a draw. Blake says straight up he believes Chris will be in the finale. He hopes he won’t be up for a steal. “I’m afraid I’d lose my girlfriend.” Alicia Chooses Chris

Aliyah Moulden vs Dawson Coyle – Team Blake Shelton – I’m Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves – Aliyah is only 15 years old. Dawson is from New Jersey. His family house burned down. Blake chose a song that was “full of energy.” The kiddos are having trouble staying on pitch. But they’re both cute as buttons! AWKWARD CAKES. With the twirling and the dancing. But that’s part of their charm. Aliyah is the better singer. Blake will probably keep her. Aliyah ends with a crazy little WAHHOW. There’s something compelling and utterly orgiginal about her. But she still needs to shed those last vestiges of pageant-bot-ism. Alicia loved the duo’s charisma. She’d pick Dawson.
