The Voice aired another 1 hour Blind Audition episode in a special Thursday timeslot. I don’t expect the ratings to be great, which is too bad for the singers who were featured. There were a couple of good ones. Casi Joy was the standout of the night. I get the feeling she is versatile and could traverse different styles. She might have been better off with Alicia or even Adam as a coach.
Julien Martinez was a real surprise. I don’t know if he’ll go far, but I really liked his muscular, bluesy tone.
But I have mixed feelings about 13 year old Quizz Swanigan. He seems to clearly love what he does, but I’d rather see grown up fully formed artists on The Voice, rather than kids still in their pageant bot stage. He should be in school performing in musicals, or something. What do you think of the eligibility age being lowered to 13? I’ve devoted a poll item to that very question.
