It was soooooo close for Laith Al-Saadi. About an hour before the voting window closed at noon he was asking fans to download his single. But to no avail. Neither he nor Adam Wakefield made the The Top 10 iTunes bonus cut this week. Alisan Porter entered the Top 10 pretty quickly, but perhaps due to the plethora of hit music on the charts right now, she was only able to nab a #6 position. Last season, Jordan Smith was routinely hitting #1 while several of his fellow singers would enter the Top 10. Having the finals hit as a beloved musical icon passes on and royalty drops a surprise album are likely contributors to the low numbers this season. And of course. Drake.
Daniel Passino barely made the Top 200, which is not surprising. Despite an improved performance this week, Shalyah Fearing isn’t connecting to viewers at home. Paxton Ingram’s performance last night was flawed, but fans seem to have come around more or less.

Alisan Porter is the overwhelming favorite this week. Over 40% voted for her moving performance of “Let Him Fly” as their favorite performance. There’s not much love for Paxton, however. He’s ranked even lower than Nick! If I were putting together a list, it would look like this, but with Paxton between Shalya and Mary Sarah.
