Despite a 2 hour clip show on The Voice last night, the competition reality show still managed to 2nd by only 1/10th of a point behind last night’s dramatic Survivor. Granted, there was little else in the way of competition last night–The Middle and Modern Family were repeats–the numbers are still pretty impressive. American Idol will be lucky to match them tonight with a brand new live episode.
The Voice ratings have been dropping year to year, but remain stable throughout the season. After two weeks, the series is averaging between 3.0-3.2ish numbers. The Voice premiere week episodes were the highest rated network shows in the 18-49 demo for the week Feb. 29-March 7. American Idol tied for 8th place with NCIS.
