Watch the fierce battle between Team Christina Aguilera members, Alisan Porter and Lacy Mandigo as they fight for a spot on Xtina’s The Voice 10 team. Before taking the stage duo were mentored by the coach and her advisor, the legendary Patti Labelle.
Alisan is a 34 year old stay at home mom, but has a long showbiz career that began as a child. She starred in the 90’s film Curly Sue and later performed in Los Angeles clubs where she garnered a reputation as a talented vocalist. In that world, she met and became friends with a pre-American Idol Adam Lambert. The two wrote his song “Aftermath” together.
I feel sorry for ANY singer who has to come up against the formidable Alisan! A vocal powerhouse, I believe she is destined for a spot on Team Christina. The most poor Lacy can hope for, I’m afraid, is for one of Xtina’s fellow coaches, Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams or Blake Shelton to steal her.
