The Masked Singer season 2 concluded Wednesday night (Dec 18) with the unmasking of Fox aka Wayne Brady. Check out our recap with performance videos HERE. Now it’s on to season 3, which FOX teases with a fresh clip that contains costume and celebrity clues.
The premise: Host Nick Cannon drives to the homes of various celebrities to drop off their costumes. We see the trappings of the mystery contestants’ lives but not their faces. The guessing game has already begins!
First, Nick heads to Beverly Hills, where he enters the gates to a mansion. He’s greated by a fluffy little dog wearing a pink feather boa. The owner is also wearing pink–and a pair of tan Ugg boots. The costume is a giant MOUSE (or rat? Ew) wearing a white dress and colorful flowers.
Next, Nick pulls up to a farmhouse. The owner wears jeans, a silver buckle and a cowboy hat. The costume is a giant ROBOT. It looks like something out of Lost in Space!
And last but not least, Nick stops off at what looks like a backstage dressing room of a television show. The costume is a big yellow banana! (See photo below).
Nick delivers one last unopened crate onto a football field. The Masked Singer season 3 will premiere right after the Super Bowl on Fox, February 2. But could on of the mystery masks be a celebrity? Hm.
The last mystery celebrity is chilling on a massive porch, obvs attached to a mansion, overlooking the ocean. “You gotta be kidding me…season 3 is about to be lit,” says Nick, hinting that this particular singer is a massive star. Mariah Carey maybe? Heh. Just kidding. Her costume looks like the pink version of T-Pain’s monster from season 1.
