American Idol Season 7 winner, Jordin Sparks and Glee’s Matthew Morrison perform live tonight on A Capitol 4th, airing on PBS stations. Jimmy Smits hosts the show.

Matthew Morrison sings the Kris Allen co-write, “Still Got Tonight”, followed by a duet with fellow Broadway star, Kelli O’Hara of “Tonight” from West Side Story.

Jordin Sparks sings “Beauty and the Beast” from the iconic Disney film, with Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower from Dancing with the Stars performing a dance.

Glee’s Matt Morrison dropped by Good Morning America today to perform songs from his new album Matt Morrison.

He accompanied himself on ukulele to croon his first single, “Summer Rain” before performing his second (and superior!) single “Still Got Tonight” which was co-written by American Idol, Kris Allen.

Darren Criss drops in on Matthew Morrison’s tour rehearsal, and the two wind up jamming to Matt’s first single “Summer Rain”, before launching into a mashup of “Great Balls of Fire” and “I Saw Her Standing There”.

Gah. “Summer Rain” is such an icky song, but the rest is pretty cool.

Glee’s Matthew Morrison released his debut self-titled album this week, and you can watch Matt perform songs from the new disk at his AOL Sessions.

After the jump, Matt performs his new single, “Still Got Tonight” a song written by Season 8 Idol winner, Kris Allen along with Andrew Frampton and Stephen Allen Kipner. The tune will be featured on the Glee Season finale, set to air May 24.
