For the first time ever, Emmy nominees from the Outstanding Choreography Category were featured on a segment in the show. That also meant the award was handed out during prime time, rather than during the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy ceremony. Very exciting for the dancers!
Check out the performance, featuring work from Derek Hough (who eventually won the Emmy), Allison Holker, Tabitha and Napoleon, Mandy Moore, Sonya Tayeh, Wayne Carlyle, and Travis Wall. It was a highlight from an otherwise dull Emmys telecast.
