We’re back at the Academy and the All-Stars are still filling their teams.
Round Three- Contemporary- Travis Wall
Travis isn’t looking to create a squad of robots, so he lets them all improvise the first section of the dance.
1st Group- Taylor and Ariel
I thought every girl in this group did a really good job. That would have been hard to choose. They get their results immediately. Ariel (the girl whose mom had Breast Cancer) is cut. Taylor becomes the 1st person on Team Robert! She got who she wanted! Robert also added Jonathan Wade and Jennifer Florentino
Next up is Chaz Wolcott, the Broadway tapper. He’s 29, it’s his last chance. He does an OK job. Sadly it’s not enough. He’s cut. – Click to Watch Performance VIDEO
Hip Hoppers Havoc and Classic are next. Havok struggles and is asked to dance for his life. Classic is cut. Havok dances for his life and is chosen by Cyrus. 9 other dancers make it onto teams. 10 spots remain. 18 dancers vie for the last 10 spots. – Click to Watch Performance VIDEO
Round 4- Ballroom with Dmitry
Jensen is still not on a team. That’s surprising. This is her genre though. Robert says it’s down to the wire. He’s missing a piece, and Robert wants Jensen.
Not surprising, the ballroom dancers dominated their own round. Those that remained anyway.
Vasily still hasn’t made a team. He’s paired with Koine from Team Marko. The said he messed up the choreo. Vasily comes back out for judgment. Gaby is the person delivering the bad news, but then Paul stops her. Paul steals Vasily at the last second. Dustin Payne and Matthew DeLoach were both cut. A montage of some already chosen dancers doing well in ballroom.
Next up is Alexis. Her partner is Evan from Team Gaby. Evan’s a bit much for me. But he’s already safe. Alexis is pretty fiery. The judges seemed to love her. She comes in for her results. She’s on Team Jenna!
Six spots left. Jasmine picked Howard Johnson. Gaby picked Magda. Allison picked Abby. Now the teams are full. Forty dancers remain. Now it’s time for group rounds. – Click to Watch Performance VIDEO
Each group has to cut one person.
1st Group- Team Paul
Vasily is creating drama, because he’s on the same team as his partner/girlfriend. The other two girls feel left out. The dance was weak. Paul said he wanted more, and he wants dancers he can trust. Vasily is cut.
2nd Group- Team Allison
Logan led the choreography, Kevin struggled to keep up on a team of contemporary dancers. It’s a really good quartet. This cut will be hard. Each dancer had a standout moment. I’d maybe cut the girl. I thought the guys were tremendous. Allison says it was beautiful and they all shined. she’s so proud of Kevin, and was happy to see Zach blossom. LOL. Allison cuts Kevin. Jenna tries to steal Kevin. They can do that? Now Jenna has to cut two out of her group.
Cyrus cuts Christina. Then everyone else quickly starts cutting dancers in a montage. Robert cut Jensen. WOW. Kiki’s partner Magda was cut by Gaby.
Last team to take the stage is Jenna’s team. Which is a sad task because her team SLAYED that. Alexis and JJ were cut. – Click to Watch Performance VIDEO
Now we’re at top 30. Next week, the last 30 dancers do Jazz with Sonya. Then the All-Stars will partner with their final two, and have to choose who goes through to the live shows.
