This week’s quartet of hopefuls are mostly experienced and mostly Canadian! Victoria Banks is 47 years old and has been in the business for years. The trio of Canadians have numerous singles on the Canadian charts. One artist released a single last year written by Idol 2016 champ, Trent Harmon.

Griffen Palmer

Hailing from a small town outside Toronto, Canada, Griffen grew up in a musical family, and began singing and playing multiple instruments by the time he was 12 years old. While attending school at Bowling Green State University in Ohio as a Division 1 Rugby player, Griffen sharpened his musical skills by playing multiple shows a week at local bars. After graduation, he moved to Nashville and signed his first publishing deal with Big Loud in 2019. Griffen co-wrote the Keith Urban song “Polaroid.” Keith worked with Florida Georgia Line producer Joey Moi on the song, so prior connections established! Unsurprisingly, we’ve got a song preview HERE. Instagram Facebook Youtube

Lukr

Lukr started writing songs as a kid “plunking out melodies on the $80 second-hand family piano.” His post-genre sound currently reflects 90’s acts such as Kanye, Dashboard Confessional, and Lauryn Hill. Lukr describes his sound as ‘NEON GRUNGE’. Currently living in East Nashville, Tenn., the artist dropped his first two singles in 2016 which garnered 15+ million streams.
