An impressionist, Loren O’Brien, cracked up judges, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara and host Terry Crews. But what really got them howling was the comedian’s wine-swilling impersonation of Sofia! Next, Walmart employee Darius from Montgomery, Alabama. After Howie thanked him for being on the front lines of the effort to beat back Covid-19, he sang an uplifting version of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me.” And yes, Darius did participate in Walmart commercial featuring employees singing “Lean on Me.” The clip finishes with Erin McCarthy who sings opera, with a twist that I will not give away.
America’s Got Talent 2020 premieres on NBC Monday May 26 at 8 pm ET/PT.
