Jordan Casanova and Jess LeProtto are eliminated
Nigel confirmed on twitter that the judges went with America’s vote. Still, I wish Caitlyn had gone home tonight. Jordan has been stepping it up the last couple of weeks. Yeah, that rumba kind of sucked, but her first routine, with Ade was fantastic. She was really good last week too. Caitlyn is all “competition hands” to quote Gaga and not all that interesting. The boys are tougher. As much as I liked Jess, Tadd is better. His solo tonight was fantastic. All the dancers left are super-talented. The eliminations are going to get harder and harder.
Next week’s guest judges will be actress Christina Applegate and choreographer Lil’ C. Next week’s All-Stars are: Kent Boyd, Jaimie Goodwin, Pasha Kovalev, Janette Manrara, Ellenore Scott and tWitch. (Press Release)
I posted the news in another thread that next week’s musical guest on the results show will be American Idol’s Pia Toscano. Whoopee. We’re coming down to the wire here. Two more weeks of SYTYD and it’s all over. It’s been a great season.
Tonight, Lady Gaga will perform with the dance group LXD (Check out the trailer for their new webshow HERE).
Plus, 2 more dancers go home SADZ. I’ll be live blogging the show right here!
At the end of tonight, 6 dancers will be on the edge of glory. 2 will be sent home – Cat.
Group dance – “The Circus Sets Up” – Tyce Diorio’s choreography made Cat cry. The finale is in two weeks!
Rob Marshall is back. Lady Gaga will perform tonight rather than sit on the panel. It was probably pre-taped.
The girls take the stage. Sasha, Jordan, Caitlyn and Melanie. And…we aren’t getting the news until after the break.
Back from the break. Sasha and Melanie are SAFE. Of course. Caitlyn and Jordan are in the bottom.
The guys take the stage. Jess andd Marko are next. Marko is SAFE. Jess is IN DANGER. After the break, Ricky and Tadd are up. Ricky is safe (despite what Nigel predicted) and Tadd is IN DANGER.
The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers (LXD) are next! Fabulous! Choreographer, Christopher Scott danced with them (Glee’s Harry Shrum Jr. tweeted today that he’s in the audience!)
Video package pimps National Dance Day which is happening Saturday July 30. Mary is heading to Washington DC to celebrate on the National Mall.
Solos: Jordan “S&M” by Rihanna, Jess “Mack the Knife” by Bobby Darrin,
Solos: Caitlyn “What Turns You On” by Katie Thomspon & Tadd “Jump in the Line” by Harry Belefonte. Tadd does a victory lap after he’s finished!
Lady Gaga takes the stage to perform “Edge of Glory” and her next single “You and I”.
Results. Nigel says the decision was not unanimous for either. The decisions became unanimous eventually. “We are sending somebody home this week who is a fabulous dance” Also, he said “We will go with America’s vote”. Really? Jordan is going home.
The guys. Nigel thinks Jess is a sensational character. He thinks Tadd is unique. Tadd is staying. Jess is going home.
