Texas Hill – Heaven Down Here
On Saturday, (Jan 22) Texas Hill made their Grand Ole Opry debut. “With our family and friends in the audience, and @rickyskaggs standing side stage… _[it] was one of those nights we’ll never forget,” the band wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to everyone who helped make our #OpryDebut happen. There’s a heaven down here on earth, and it’s at the @opry.”
The band is Texas made
Casey and Craig, who grew up 60 miles apart on the outskirts of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, ran into one another at a 2019 event in Nashville. After, Craig invited Casey’s family to his home for dinner, where they discovered their wives had attended middle school together in California. Eventually, Casey pulled a guitar off the wall and started jamming. The music and harmonies flowed so naturally, that they decided to jam on the regular.
Eventually, Craig invited Adam into their jame sensations. When the trio met up, Craig introduced a self-penned song. The harmonies came so easily, the three decided to forge their talents into a “super-group.”
As far as their sound is concerned, Craig offers a gospel-tinged country vibe, while Adam blends a rootsy bluegrass-and-Americana rasp. Casey adds blue-eyed soul and impressive guitar chops.
