Simon Cowell Got Tested for Covid-19 After Heidi Klum Fell Ill on America’s Got Talent Set

After Heidi Klum fell ill on the America’s Got Talent set last month, Simon Cowell and the rest of the AGT cast were all tested for COVID-19, according to a recent interview. Heidi left the set in the middle of filming an episode after experiencing cold-like symptoms. At first, news reports said Heidi came down with food poisoning. But a video Heidi posted from bed revealed she had flu-like symptoms. At the time, she wanted to be tested for the coronavirus, but couldn’t. Eventually she did get tested, and after a few weeks, revealed that the results came back negative. However, not knowing whether Heidi was positive for the virus, Simon took the test as a precaution. When asked whether he had been tested for the virus, Simon said, “We all got tested, we had to.” I’m assuming that fellow judges Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and perhaps host Terry Crews were tested?

Simon Says Heidi is Doing Great. Her Coronavirus Test Came Back Negative

Simon told The Sun that Heidi is “doing great,” although he seemed to be under the impression that her test came back positive. It didn’t! Heidi recently revealed that she had actually tested negative. Heidi posted the good news on Instagram.  “Day 14 of staying HOME #covid_19negative,” alongside a photo of her sunbathing in her garden. When a fan asked how she was feeling, Heidi replied, “much better thank you. I just have a bad cold and trying to get over it. sending love out to you and everyone.”

Simon also confirmed that both America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent will premiere on schedule, despite coronavirus concerns halting production on both shows.  According to Simon, America’s Got Talent will premiere at the end of May. Britain’s Got Talent begins on Saturday April 11. “‘All going well,” he told the Sun, “because we’ve already filmed a lot it’s in the can. I want to get it out as quickly as possible while everyone is at home because they’ve got nothing to watch.” He added: “I don’t want to sit on all this material, it would be crazy. If everything goes okay, should be coming back at the end of July.”
